I wonder if the supermodels got paid.

I was shocked at his original scam, the credit card club that didn't do as promised. Mostly that people fell for it.
How did he trick the guy into doing the final ticket scam?
And why would anyone put thousands and thousands of business expenses on personal credit cards?

Mostly I was shocked at the amount of young people with huge amounts of money to spend on the festival.

And that woman who spoke up about not being able to claim unemployment unless they were actually fired.

I'm not sure if it was on the documentary or I've read it somewhere since but didn't Kendell Jenner get paid something like $250k for her instagram posts

caughtinanet · 30/01/2019 11:19

This isn't what I'd read as it was only posted yesterday but does suggest they were paid

That's interesting caught in a net. Wouldn't it be good if all those paid to advertise contributed a portion of their payments to the Bahamians who were not paid for actual, proper work. Not just filmed sipping cocktails on yachts. However, I do acknowledge that the social influencers cannot be held legally responsible for the outcome of the product they were paid to promote.
I don't know, this festival seems to sum up a lot that's wrong with some parts of society. The poor get poorer whilst the rich get richer. What's new, eh?

The employee that was assertive and took no shit when I came to them not being fired was an absolute boss.

GlowWorm7 · 04/02/2019 12:05

*it came to them

Bit late to the party here but I've just watched it. Shock

Can't believe how credulous some people are. I'm far too old to be paying any attention to Instagram and influencers but does nobody attempt to fact check anything any more before parting with large amounts of cash? No wonder people are using this as a metaphor for Brexit. Interesting that there was a guy trying to raise the alarm on Twitter in advance but still the punters turned up. I can't find much sympathy in my heart for those who were prepared to spend several thousand dollars for a long weekend but I did feel for the Bahamians. I hope they've got all the money back from appearance fees for all the documentaries and news reports.
