Is anyone else watching? I think they’re so likeable... (and love the name Theodore..)

I will admit I judge both sisters on their apparent thick-as-a-plank personalities and complete vacuousness. And the awful clothes and make-up.

Spencer and Vogue seem like people you'd want to go out with for an evening.

Scotschic · 23/01/2019 21:00

Billie needs to calm down with the makeup, she’d look better without it, or at least wear less.

I don’t think it’s unacceptable to judge on people’s intelligence, or lack of it, it’s their accents too, it makes them sound thicker than they probably are. Sorry to anyone from Essex, I don’t mean to offend, but you can speak properly no matter where your from, instead of saying ‘fink’ then they could say ‘think’, if I was on the TV then I’d make sure I was speaking properly, rather than using my normal Scottish slang, it’s common sense.

Scotschic · 23/01/2019 21:02

Billie usually always looks like she’s away to a club or a fancy meal with the way she dresses, whether Sam is frumpy dressed now, she used to wear lovely clothes, I suppose that’s what happens when your unhappy relationship wears you downSad because I don’t believe for a minute that she’s happy with Paul, I’m surprised that he hasn’t married her for financial reasons, how does divorce in the UK work with finances, etc?

Scotschic · 23/01/2019 21:11

Whether is meant to read where, god I’m exhausted, I’ve made so many mistakes today, both on MN with my typos, autocorrects and lots of other stuff...that’s the MP for you Sad

Belindabelle · 24/01/2019 08:18

I thought it strange that there didn't appear to be any of Spencer's family at the naming ceremony. Didn't see his 'best friend' James Middleton either.

papayasareyum · 24/01/2019 08:57

I think I need to watch this show. I’ve avoided it so far because I remember what Spencer was like on MiC, always unfaithful, treating women like absolute shit and laughing about it. I remember watching it and being convinced he wouldn’t be faithful to any woman. We’ll see if he lasts the distance with Vogue....

ElspethFlashman · 24/01/2019 09:05

I think a lot of the connection with Brian was they were both Dubliners and probably had a lot in common, Dublin can be a small city and everyone knows everyone. But he is clearly an immature disaster to be married to. And I think she wanted kids and he was just stringing her along about that and she realised it.

It's actually the same as Spencer going out with girls from his local area. Going out with people cos they understand your background and you have lots of overlapping circles, but actually ending up with someone entirely different who suits who you are now, as opposed to who you used to be.

MiniCooperLover · 24/01/2019 13:17

Spencer's parents/family live in St Barts and realistically his brother was unlikely to ever appear on the show, he doesn't appear the reality tv type

katienana · 24/01/2019 13:29

It did annoy me the way they had a naming ceremony but kept talking about god parents and a christening gown, can't have it both ways! Apart from that I love the show.

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 13:51

I googled Spencer’s families Scottish estate and it’s gorgeous, it’s called Glen Affric and it’s in Aberdeen.

He and Vogue got married there, how gorgeous.

Sorry I don’t know how to upload pics here!

areyoubeingserviced · 24/01/2019 14:06

I really enjoyed the programme. Vogue and Spencer are really well suited
I hope that Spencer doesn’t screw it up He definitely won’t get better than Vogue

qazxc · 24/01/2019 14:11

Vogue would be better known in Ireland because she would be on programs here that wouldn't be on in UK; from her start out in Fade Street which was Ireland's answer to The Hills(and really crap)to a travel show that i don't remember the name of that she was in last week.
I also think that in Ireland we have a smaller pool of celebs so celebrities are more commonly known, if that makes any sense.

kateandme · 24/01/2019 19:22

i think I changed a lot when spencer talked of his brother with such emotion on an interview once and he completely broke.
his brother was a climber and disappeared after climbing mount Everest.he got detatched from his collegues and never came down. and he is clearly still haunted by this from what he said in the interview.

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 19:47

I didn’t know Spencer has a brother that’s mossingSad

greendale17 · 24/01/2019 19:48

Spencer looks so old for his age

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 19:55

He always did look old for his age, if you remember when MIC first started then Spencer had an old man’s beard, infact he looks younger now than he did back then!

Villainess · 24/01/2019 19:57

'I thought it strange that there didn't appear to be any of Spencer's family at the naming ceremony. Didn't see his 'best friend' James Middleton either.'

I'd guess he probably had an actual traditional christening that family attended and that the naming ceremony was solely done to make content for the TV show.

Villainess · 24/01/2019 19:58

Same with the visits to the nursery. She's not actually going to send the child there, but they need to create amusing scenes.

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 20:01

Do you think that Vogue really didn’t discuss with Spencer about moving to Dublin? or was that for the show too?

I remember when she was with Brian then they had their home in Ireland and then they also had a home in London for when they came over for work, I’m sure Vogue and Spencer will now do the same, it seems like a million years ago that she was with Brian.

aneres · 24/01/2019 20:03

I really enjoyed the show but why the hell did they need to put full on paper suits for a bit of finger painting Hmm

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 20:06

In case paint went on their clothes and they then got it on carpets, or maybe just for entertainment. They looked like the same suits that guys wear to go ravingGrin

MiniCooperLover · 24/01/2019 20:21

Episode 3 felt very forced whereas 1 and 2 had been far more natural. I think they could have stopped with 2.

MiniCooperLover · 24/01/2019 20:23

Spencer's brother Michael died climbing Everest and his body was never recovered, they raise a lot of money for a foundation in his name. I think Spencer was about 15 when it happened (from reading).

Scotschic · 24/01/2019 20:31

God that’s really sad to not know where your loved one is, people say that the not knowing is the worst.Sad

papayasareyum · 25/01/2019 12:40

sometimes I can’t tell if they’re taking the piss and it’s banter or if they’re really having a go at each other. They remind me a little of the humour between my husband and I. We take the piss out of each other in a very dry way. Sometimes people around us think we’re being mean, but it’s definitely our weird sarcastic sense of humour!
