ER Season finale - soooo disappointing..............

I was expecting to be left in bits at the imminent departure of the lovely Kovac - but no - he just drove off in a taxi!!! WTF!!!

As for the rest - what a load of anti-war nonsense.

Will be tempted to not watch the next series, I mean whos left worth watching??

It was a fairly pointless season in general.

It wasn't the surgeon that upset him - he saw her outside in deep discussion with the paramedic (what is his name???) and holding his hand... she was breaking up with him.

I missed the last one, is it repeated this week. It usually is but can't find it anywhere.
I thought when I saw the "Next week on ER" that he'd end up with no legs.
The whole triangle annoys me too.

It's annoying how it's always a sad ending, I loved that they gave Carol and Doug a happy ending, my god how many years ago must that be now.

Oh no - i didn't know Luca was leaving - I LOVE him!! I also really just wanted him and Abi to be happy and thought 'finally' after the wedding. What's going to happen to him in Coatia then?!!

I thought they were trying to set up something between Abi and the new chief guy and thought 'NO' not when she and Luca are happy!

I agree also about Ray - liked his character and yet they did nothing with him! I do like Pratt though and Maurice has been so funny!

I guess I'll watch again but I still pine for Carter and Dr Green!

Yeah not sure why the loss of legs should mean total curtains for him and Neela and it was definitely harsh of that other girl to say those things to poor old Neela!

So when the new chief said to Abi something like "you'll have to get used to working with a chief you're not sleeping with", that was a little hint as to what is going to happen?

(I know I'm a bit late for this thread, I've just watched it on E4)

Loving Maurice and Hope storyline, was totally shocked when they turned Ray round, am finding Neela quite annoying now.

I wonder if Luka's plane will have crashed somewhere by the start of next series.

I watched it on E4 last night, was vvvv shocked about Ray's legs. How do they make the stumps look so convincing?

Great use of colour I thought, I liked the way the hospital was all white and ethereal and Neela in the crowd in red, although that was a bit Schindler's List.

Dh and I are watching series 2 on dvd, just seen the Ross/boy in storm drain episode - fab. Current ER is definitely not as good but I still enjoy it.

Neela should have just jumped his bones, it has to happen, I almost felt sorry for gates when sarah was taken by her grandparents.
Kovac has got to come back, I know he has left but he could "go to work" at another hospital, and Abbey could mention him from time to time.

Don't know if this has been already said but... Luka was leaving the series as a regular character because the ratings were not really promising (although he would be apearing now and then). But that has been called off because the rating went uo by the last episodes of the season (this in the US)

Ray accident was done to find a way to let him go. He (the actor, not ray!) was auditioning for a main character in another series so... he was not coming back (hence, I supose, the ghost Ray sitting in the final video taken at the wedding which he had already left). However... he didn't get the part so he is now alive again! no legs though... maybe he will end up as Carter, just showing around now and then.

have to agree with multitasker - BIG FAT DISSAPOINTMENT maybe it's time to leave er in the past

i was gutted about ray though his character has been really wasted actually i don't think the writers develop any of the characters enough - i used to LOVE susan and dr green and old wobbly head george clooney there was more background story with them

oh dear sounding like an er geek now
