Apologies if there's already a thread about the series -
Is there anybody else utterly captivated by this whilst simultaneously not being entirely sure what's going on?

I think Kate it a hutu, patricks daughter maybe. why are they all vomiting?

Yes! I also think it's brilliant, so well put together and the acting is phenomenal...but I also can't work it out! I have had the thought too that Kate may be a Hutu. The writer/director also did 'The Honourable Woman' a few years back and that was similar in that it was impossible to predict how it would end.

I agree, I also thought from quite early on that the secret being kept from Kate is that her father is Patrice Ganimana.

In last week's episode there was a conversation between Michael & Alice in which they said the only people who knew the secret about Kate were the 2 of them, Eve (who is dead of course) & Eunice - who is Eunice? I feel she must be important or she wouldn't have been mentioned....

calpop yes there is a lot of vomiting! With Michael it's presumably caused by the cancer treatment but I think another character vomited due to stress/fear last week?

Yes! I have virtually no idea what’s going on and who some of the people are but it is enthralling. I’m not sure why as it’s not my usual type of programme.

And it's worth watching for Michaela Coel alone - such an intense actress with a quite extraordinary face: those high cheekbones & slanting eyes, she looks incredible in every scene - I can't take my eyes off her!

Im watching this avidly but I'm so so confused.

I can't work out who is up to what. If you take your eyes off it for a second you miss something!

Eunice was the one that John Goodman had that long chat with on the phone with the very long stretchy wire but the conversation made NO SENSE Grin

Ah yes - thanks SoupDragon I know which character that is but for some reason had not retained her name. The fact someone in an official position would know Kate's secret (as opposed to family/friends) adds to the likelihood it will turn out to be about Patrice

It hadn't occurred to me that PG might be Kate's father - I had been leaning towards her being daughter of the President. So looks as though PG was trying to save her from being poisoned?

How could Gaines' death be ascribed to suicide as per Kate's protector - it was easy to miss but he referred to this. As Gaines couldn't get out of the car, he couldn't have got himself in it either, with the other two cars lined up beside him!

Unless 'my name isn't Samson' went back and moved the other cars afterwards - difficult to do without leaving evidence though.

He could have got into the car and backed into the space I think. Doesn't make a lot of sense but I guess it would have stopped anyone "saving" him if they had found him.
