Anyone else ready to get back to focusing on the dancing??

Just catching up, not keen on most of the music this week although I do love the Frankie Lymon song.

I think the Taylor swift song works well for a tango on that DWTS clip.

I like the idea of a Queen song for a jive. I have a different Queen song for my jive, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, for when I become a D-list celeb and go on Strictly.

I know this thread is all about the dancing but can I just say how much I laughed at Katya’s dress on ITT. I had visions of her going through her entire wardrobe looking for something not-sexy and finally saying “screw it!” and dashing to Tesco Elstree to get something from F+F.

But on the subject of the dancing I’m desperately hoping (with not much expectation tbf) that Vick and Danny will nail their ballrooms. I want them both to be much better than they have been so far.

Ian Waite is good at demonstrating the dances they should use him more. He must be tall to be taller than Zoe in those bloody shoes!!

I liked Ranj and Janette's Aladin dance she looked amazing! He was a bit stompy though.

I've not come onto the threads like I used to, I don't know whether I overdid strictly fever in the last few years but I'm not feeling it hugely this year. I can't bear to watch Ashley and not interested in the guy with Karen either. It's just too long at this stage and I skip a lot of the chat on catch up. I think they should reduce it to 12 couples as I am sure a lot of people are put off watching over 2 hours on a Saturday night when not all their family members may want to watch too.

I'm still of the opinion that people vote for songs they like and can hum along to. I may need to test that theory somehow.

Yes Fuzzy some of the songs are ok but some are not. The same goes for the orchestration and singing!!!

We won’t necessarily know how he votes go. Sean is not a good dancer but he may do well on the Charleston, and the key to Strictly voting is that negative votes aren’t really a factor in a 13 horse race.

As long as a few people vote for S&K, either for perverse reasons, or because they’ve decided to vote for dance reasons only, or because they don’t have access to newspapers or the internet, then it doesn’t matter how many people actively hate them: it may still be enough to take them above someone who’s just a bit “meh”.

On the other hand, it does appear that Dr Ranj and Katie have a positive fan base, so they’re unlikely to hit the dance-off, and IMO Lauren’s poor effort in Movie Week was a one-off: she’s better than that.
