Oops! Just posted on the old thread and it passed 1000 messages and died. Thought I had better start a new one quick!

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 14:14

for all you LOOPIES

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 14:37

Thankyou, thankyou

Do you work in theatre RTKanga?

Any idea what I can expect to pay for a programme when I go to see the fantastic Mr Mead?

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 14:49

Kanga, was that a freudian slip?

Apparently Lee Obsessed People are calling themselves Loppies, not Loopies

Don't care what you call us, as long as you keep feeding the addiction

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 14:56

sorry for typo

Photo programmes will be about £10 and regular programmes about £5

It depends how much profit ALW wants

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 15:01

look here for seating preferences

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 15:02

No probs about the typo, I thought you were expressing an opinion of our mental state

I didn't know there were different types of programmes........coo, I really am an innocent, what with my 20p binoculars, and thinking the one and only photo filled prog would be about £5.

You're gonna tell me next that I won't be able to wander back to Lee's dressing room for a nice cup of tea after the show............

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 15:04

Too bloody late.

I only had a window of two weeks when I was down in London, the only tickets that were available are in the Upper Circle, Row N, so I really will need those binoculars, and perhaps oxygen too at that height

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 15:08

Photo programmes are square or rectangular with colour photos sort of A4 sized

But they don't have cast lists or song or scene lists

And the other programme is sort of A5 sized with lots of writing about cast and story of show and adverts etc.

If you go to Maiden Lane and look up above the stage door at the windows you will see Lee's dressing room windows

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 15:09

sorry

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 15:12

New pricing makes row N seats 11 to 23 worthwhile at bottom price in the monkey book. Row O is a last resort, tucked at the rear of the theatre, but it is among the cheapest seating in the venue. Go for seats 4 to 7 first. Seats 37 to 39 could have offered an opportunity for a little back seat romance, if they had restricted it to only two seats. Perhaps that is why they didn't.

slayerette · 20/06/2007 15:19

ROFL oggsfrog at image of JB as maid of honour...I think it's fantastic, fantastic, FANTASTIC!

Berrie - I am sitting at my desk in our once-garage-now-study - window overlooks driveway (obviously) but a big patch of green with some trees just to the left. Big pile of stuff - marksheets and so on - ready for my A level exam marking to arrive next week on the desk along with an intray full of tax returns/tax credits bumpf not yet dealt with. On the wall above me, a calendar says 'Whatever has gone wrong it definitely was not me'. The What Dog book is patiently waiting for me to decide What Dog?

Lee is emptying the tumble dryer which is also in the room, proving what a New Man he is and not just a Sex Object

Come on, the rest of you...

Berrie · 20/06/2007 15:25

ROFL Slayerette
DH enquiring whether I will be able to cope without this on holiday
Lee having a shower, he got rather hot bless him...

slayerette · 20/06/2007 15:51

I'm a bit worried about my increasing addiction actually; my DH wandered in rather lost and lonely at about 10.30 last night and said, 'Well, I'm going up to bed then' as I typed away. Think I need to start to ration myself! You will have to save up all your Lee thoughts during the hol and write a gigantic message as soon as you get back! And read all our witty outpourings that you've missed of course.

Lee says to tell you to have a good holiday. He'd tell you himself but he's -er - 'busy'

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 16:42

Gawd, so I'll be paying as much for the two programmes as I did for the bloody ticket

Kanga, now come on...........how do you know so much??.... are you a director/cleaner/usherette/'luvvie' with insider knowledge/mad stalker?????

That website is really useful by the way, I studied it in depth before looking online for tickets, and then realising I didn't have any actual choice in where I would be sitting. I'm not even in the worthwhile seats in row N .

'tis a long way down from Bonny Scotland only to need binoculars as to even hazard a guess as to which is Lee

They're gonna look like ants aren't they [grump]

slayerette · 20/06/2007 16:47

I'm too scared to tell you about my experience of watching Miss Saigon from 'the gods', oggsfrog - don't want to depress you! - but the top of Miss Saigon's head was really nice! No idea what her face looked like...

oggsfrog · 20/06/2007 16:56

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhh!!!

[sob][sob][sob] .

Is it really that bad slayer????

They were the only tickets left .

Bugger bollocks and arse

lyrabelacqua · 20/06/2007 17:00

Maybe if you keep looking you could find some better seats and sell your on eBay. You might even make a profit if it's sold out for weeks in advance of your date. It really will be worth sitting in the stalls to get a good look at that bod in a loincloth, not that I'm not already very familiar with it...

Berrie · 20/06/2007 17:05

Thanks Slayer, I will expect to find you all here on my return.

Lyra must be having a real life today

Oh poor oggs, you'll just have to wait outside the stage door for a closer look. Be quick though, Lee will be helicoptering back to my side each evening.

Berrie · 20/06/2007 17:06

Oh there she is !

lyrabelacqua · 20/06/2007 17:12

My new husband and I have been getting better acquainted.

Seriously, I've been to the children's farm with ds2 and two of his friends. He's 3 tomorrow so this was his birthday treat and we'll have a little tea party tomorrow.

I see the Lee lusting is still going strong.

slayerette · 20/06/2007 17:15

It was many years ago, oggsfrog, and probably a different theatre so don't despair too much! The Upper Circle might not be so 'upper' at the Adelphi! Besides, the experience will be great anyway and I'm v envious - when I got round to looking for tickets the seats I wanted were sold out for all the dates I could make (I did want v good seats cos we'd have to take ds (4) and no point sitting a long way back with him, poor love! I'm just hoping they decide to extend the run when they see how popular it is.

RTKangaMummy · 20/06/2007 17:23

OGGSFROG

lyrabelacqua · 20/06/2007 17:24

Berrie, how could you not buy the magazine?????

Berrie · 20/06/2007 17:26

Sounds nice Lyra, hope it didn't rain on you.
I sat in the gods for Miss Saigon, I remember it being uncomfortable but I don't recall not being able to see.
Lee might not stay on if they extend it though...
RTKanga is playing her cards very close to her chest isn't she

Berrie · 20/06/2007 17:27

I might buy it yet
I'm not sure I want to look on my beloved surrounded by naked women
