Oops! Just posted on the old thread and it passed 1000 messages and died. Thought I had better start a new one quick!

OP posts:

Previews from Friday
I did know the dates but it seems to have come round so quickly. Bet Lee's nervous.
I've still got months till I get to see it

binkleandflip · 30/06/2007 21:40

It'll fly by Lyra. To be honest, what with all the things going on in London right now, I am a bit wary about going right now but you cant live your live like that I suppose.

I am really getting quite excited about it all now. It's really going to be quite weird seeing Lee in real life in a way after following the show and now, there he is. Can't wait to see it!!!

BoingBoing · 01/07/2007 08:24

Morning all. Welcome home Berrie. It ight have been wet, but at least Cornwall's the only part of the country that wasn't underwater, excluding Boscastle, so I hope that wasn't where you were staying! Fortunately, Cornwall's rammed with rip-off indoor 'experiences', designed to punish you for cowering from the rain!

Counting down to 6.30pm - DS is planning an early night - but can anyone tell me what the Mail article said? I bought Now, I bought Heat, but frankly, I draw the line at stooping to the Daily Mail, however enticing its contents!

Berrie · 01/07/2007 12:38

Thanks for the links Oggs I enjoyed that.
Morning BoingBoing, we did get a couple of beach days which wasn't bad going. We managed to avoid Dairyland, The Lands End Experience and The Eden Project (bit overrated if you ask me)Is it you who lives in Cornwall? Which areaish?
Laughed about Daily Mail. My poor FIL is in hospital at the moment and buying one for him is ridiculously unpleasant! Hope Lyra doesn't work on the mail

Berrie · 01/07/2007 12:43

binkleandflip, I'm off to London to see My friend next weekend. I'm umming and ahing about whether to go.
He texted me and asked me to think about what I wanted to do. I avoided the temptation to tell him to ring Lee(they worked together on Phantom), track him down and bump into him accidently on purpose!
I suggested a gallery instead. Can any of you Londoners reccomend anything?

BoingBoing · 01/07/2007 13:13

Well if you didn't fancy Dairyland, the Lands End rip-off or Eden (not bad but wayyyyy over-priced) I wouldn't think Madame Tussauds is your thing! And I live in West Cornwall, but fortunately well off the beaten track so I don't get too hassled by the caravan brigade.

Personal favourites for London include the Victoria & Albert museum, the Courtauld Institute and err, Harvey Nicks! But if I were in London next weekend, I'd be camped outside the stage door of the Adelphi or loitering around certain train stations a certain chap has been spotted at!

LyraB · 01/07/2007 17:28

Charing Cross station, spend the day there
I live in London and I can't think of any recommendations (we don't get out much any more).
Oh, the Tate Modern is good, combined with a walk along the south bank.

LyraB · 01/07/2007 17:46

Before anyone gets the wrong impression, I'm not in the habit of staking out train stations hoping to bump into stars Someone on the Other Forum said they'd seen him there.
btw, ADWD has slipped down the charts this week

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:11

well well well it's like old times...bit of Lee leering then onto mumsnet!

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:12

Is it just me or was the Phantom stuff a bit crappy? Was there a problem hearing the orchestra I wonder?

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:14

tumbleweed time...

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:15

I'm here!
it was a bit short. Lee's bit was WAY too short. But wasn't it nice to hear him sing better than Donny or Jason.

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:18

But of course he did Looked to me like Jason had a little trouble with his trousers!

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:19

A bit tight perhaps.
Sarah Brightman was awful too.

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:19

I can stop watching it now thank goodness!

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:20

Really bad I know
ALW must have been making some great faces in the wings!

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:20

I watched a whole HOUR waiting for the ALW bit.
Don't you think Lee needs to work on his interview technique? He never seems to have anything to say.

oggsfrog · 01/07/2007 20:22

C'mon, c'mon.....I want all the details....
what was he wearing/saying/singing? was he on his own? tell me, tell me....

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:25

He was wearing the proper Joseph coat. Sang ADWD with Donny and Jason and kids choir (What's with all these kids?)

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:26

Was interviewed with Connie afterwards, talking about what an amazing buzz it was singing at Wembley. Gave a very good, but much too short, performance.

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:27

Oh sorry oggs
Well Donny came on in a balck t shirt and suit and sang the first bit, then on came Jason D. His trousres were very tight about the crotch and he seemed to sort of crouch or squat as he sang looking in pain and sang the next bit. Then when it got to the crash of drums bit out strode Lee in a joseph coat (that I'd not seen before) His voice was stronger and beefier than the others. He sang the next bit but unfortunatly then the others joined in again. alw CAME OUT TO TAKE BOWS WITH THEM BUT UNFORTUNATLY THE SOUND WENT ...oops...Fern interviewed Connie and Lee who were briefly holing hands as they began but they said little more then, 'Like wow it's just...so amazing'

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:29

Berrie, you summed it up so much better than I.

Berrie · 01/07/2007 20:30

Lyra, there are always kids in the show. I wrote to Jim'll Fix it once to be in the kids choir once...he didn't

LyraB · 01/07/2007 20:33

So when I go to see Joseph in the west end, I'm paying to watch a bunch of kids sing? Really can't stand kids' choirs.

binkleandflip · 01/07/2007 20:34

I was one of those kids...it was fabuloso, although we only got to be in alongside Jess Conrad (if anyone remembers who he is)
