i feel so sorry that the young boy didnt win tonight ,i thought he was so talented.didnt think much of the bloke with the monkey.i bet simon cowell is mad !

DamonsMonkey · 14/06/2007 22:39

Opera phone sales man deserved to go through. He does look like he's going to cry all the time doesn't he?

As good as Dominic is, I think Piers used his casting vote wisely, as if they put all the good singers and all the good dancers through, they'd have no variety and that is the name of the game. I'm glad Damon and the monkey got another chance. Thing is, if he'd come out tonight and did the same as he did first time round, the judges would have said he's a one trick monkey () at least he tried to vary his act even if it did backfire on him somewhat. Also he's easy on the eye which is always a good thing.

I like my new nickname

DamonsMonkey · 14/06/2007 22:40

Simon Cowell will probably snap Dominic up anyway. Give it 6 months to a year and he'll have an album out. Charlotte Church was signed at 12.

mummylin2495 · 14/06/2007 22:41

also i would just like to say i didnt like the girl and boy dancer one little bit.!

DamonsMonkey · 14/06/2007 22:42

There is something very kitcsh about those sort of acts isn't there? The girl's hair is very old fashioned.

mummylin2495 · 14/06/2007 22:46

they were good dancers but i cant stand little kids doing what i call adult routines and all the makeup.it just makes me cringe.im not sure why.Bit like the little girls in american pageants.

That blinkin' Amanda gets on my nerves. Is it just me? What on earth is she doing on the judges' panel? Have I missed something?

DamonsMonkey · 14/06/2007 22:51

I know exactly what you mean, mummylin.

Yeah, Amanda Holden... they obviously couldn't find anyone else. Piers Morgan as a judge is a bit too or have I missed something there? I used to loathe Amanda Holden with such a passion that I physically couldn't watch anything with her in it. I thought Wild At Heart looked good, but I couldn't watch it because she was in it. It's just one of those things. Keira Knightley gets on my tits now too, there's just something about her. Amanda, however, isn't coming across too annoyingly on BGT, but yeah, I can't see the relevance of her as a judge.

mummylin2495 · 14/06/2007 22:53

her parents live in my town and my dh has done work at their house i dont know them though.I could think of a lot more qualified people to judge than her and piers bloody morgan

RedtartanLass · 14/06/2007 22:54

DamonsMonkey - I'm the same can not stand the woman. However she comes across ok on this series, but when I see her all I see is tha smarmy blind date constentent!

DamonsMonkey · 15/06/2007 13:58

I don't remember her as a Blind Date contestant, that was mentioned in the paper I was reading today. So was she just a contestant on Blind Date and then went on to become a 'TV Star'?

RedtartanLass · 15/06/2007 14:18

Yup, just a desperate wannabe until she married poor Les Dennis. I think all she had done prior to that was Blind Date and a walk-on part in Easterenders.

Can not stand her!!

RedtartanLass · 15/06/2007 14:22

And I think she is engaged to record boss Chris Hughes. HHHMMMMmmmm think I can see a connection to Simon
