I've only caught the odd episode of Gavin and Stacey when it was originally on but now dh and I are watching it from the start on Netflix.

It's bloody brilliant! Love Nessa and Bryn.

Stella is hilarious - not as cute and light hearted but it has its own charm

Brilliant show, one of my absolute favourites. I love the relationship between Smithy and Rudy... reminds me so much of my siblings when we were younger!

The title characters are the least interesting for me, which I know is odd, but although they are the reason for the show, it's all the supporting characters I watch it over and over again for. Especially Nessa and Pam and Mick. Oh, and Doris, and Dave, and Dawn and Peter and...

I found Stella a challenge to get into but once I did it's actually quite funny but just in a different way. And once Patrick Baladis character was in it I loved it even more so ♥️😀

Stella is amazing!!! Different vibe to G&S but made me laugh and cry and the characters are amazing!!!

I love Stella and gavin and Stacey. I long to know what happened on the fishing trip!!
We visited Barry island last year on holiday. It was a shine to g&s. Especially if you wanted a nessa tea towel 😂

I'm from Barry and I don't find it accurate, the accents are appalling (bar Dave Coaches who is spot on), but it's great seeing "home" on TV and the whole thing is genius.

Love it! Watched originally when living in London & then rewatched after moving to Cardiff....felt a little foolish when I started to recognise Essex was actually all Cardiff/Barry 😂😂😂😂

Love it. My only thing is that in the Christmas special Smithy is buying underwear for Lucy. And then later he says at dinner that he when he and Lucy were together he'd go to hers for Xmas dinner.

Love Gavin and Stacey, the Christmas special is brilliant. The characters just work and fit together so well. Love smithy and brynn, when smithy tells nessa not to Marry Dave coaches while there in the garden, tugs at my heart strings every time

Oh just love it. A friend bough me the box set- if never seen it before. My dh works away so when he'd come home we'd watch 2 or e episodes a night. Or 4....Could watch all night.

Doris next door when she's had her toy boy- so funny. The indian takeaway- dh and i always explain with hand gestures that we'll share and have a bit of each other's. Dawn and Pete....hilarious.
But I just love Pam and Mick!! I aspire to be them when dh and I are older

All you G&S fans might also like “Stella”. Also set in S Wales, written by and staring Ruth Jones. Different characters, different story, similar humour. It was on Sky1, but I got it from Amazon Prime and DVDs.

I love love love G&S. I watch is about 4 times per year. I love the awkwardness, Pam is the best character!

I'm sure that's not the exact phrase but I cried laughing the first time I heard and it still makes me giggle now. Best line ever!!!!

I love all the random famous people Ness and Stacey met - like Kevin Spacey 😂 Also John Prescott making that cameo was brilliant.

Love the bit in the Christmas special where Ness has wrapped up individual Celebrations as presents and Gwen being disappointed with Bounty
