New thread for us

That awful kid though!! slapping other children, cheeky and rude to adults, throwing stuff.....Fletch has had a lucky break not having to take that on, she is worse than Mikey. I hope that is the end of Jac/Fletch romance and they don't drag that out any longer - enough....just like the Gaskill story, enough now. Move on Holby, try and think of some new stories.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 31/10/2018 16:24

I'm not sure we've seen the back of Fletch and Jac's relationship though.

And all this 'Zav' getting close to Donna stuff. What happened to the one he got stuck in the biohazard situation with? Thought there was a 'spark' there.

SleepingStandingUp · 31/10/2018 23:35

Have we seen Nicki at all lately??

Emma has had a rough ride tbf, I think she needs the crazy love of the Fletchlings

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/11/2018 07:00

Nicki hasn't been in it for weeks, has she?

Think that Emma becoming more involved with the Fletchlings (lovely turn of phrase!) may be the cement that finally binds Jac and Fletch.

Ladymargarethall · 01/11/2018 09:00

I thought Emma was a parody of Jac.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/11/2018 09:07

I suspect Fletch and Fletchlings will tame Emma and in doing so will show Jac that they are worth the risk emotionally.

SoupDragon · 01/11/2018 09:18

I think Nicky was in it last week (after many weeks missing)

PretendLife · 02/11/2018 10:03

Would they really restart the whole Jac/Fletch thing? Even the actors didn't want it to happen which may explain that awful kiss scene, so unconvincing. Even if they did get together it would end in disaster, this is Holby.

The need to finish off the Gaskill story line. What about his conduit thingy in Jac? maybe her and Fletch do get it together then she dies. Perhaps she wants out before she becomes the Ken Barlow of Holby!

ButtonMoonLoon · 02/11/2018 10:40

I reckon Guy will come back to sort out/save Jac

MyOtherProfile · 02/11/2018 11:26

Looks like there's more to come of the Gaskill story.

QueenofmyPrinces · 02/11/2018 11:49

Maybe Jac nearly dies, Guy comes to save her and the near death experience makes her realise that she wants to be with Fletch.

I hope so anyway, they need to do something to shake her character up a little bit because the Icy Bitch approach has been going on for soooooo long now that she’s a bit predictable.

PretendLife · 04/11/2018 12:24

Surely Jac can't have yet another near death experience? how many is that now? just how many operations can she have on her back? If the conduit thingy comes out won't she go back to how she was before?

Holby seriously needs some new story lines now.

TheEfficientBaxter · 04/11/2018 14:40

Rather fed-up of the Jac storyline, so have missed a couple of episodes.

Have Dom and Lofty had sex yet? How long did Dom have to wait after possibly being infected with whatever-it-was a few weeks ago?

I'm not convinced Lofty is as committed as Dom thinks he is.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/11/2018 19:54

I assume Dofty have sex, surely they just used condoms when he had Hep B? They're engaged so I'm assuming it's pretty serious but the baby thing will rip them apart

tempname111 · 06/11/2018 20:49

Ye GADS, this is TENSE!

ButtonMoonLoon · 06/11/2018 21:18

Well it looks like the Gaskell storyline will be wrapped up pretty soon. Can't wait for next week!

MyOtherProfile · 06/11/2018 21:39

Good episode.

So am I right that Duvet has written prescriptions for Donna to use on her private business and also for his mum? Both presumably illegal and very dodgy?

HalleLouja · 06/11/2018 22:05

I assume the ones for Donna are fine, as she was asking other doctors and they didn’t say it was illegal.

Go duvet and moaning Meena. The only two who have yet to see the light are Essie and HH. But think HH is just too good a friend.

MyOtherProfile · 06/11/2018 22:07

I'm trying to work out how the ones for Donna could have been fine though. She was making money out of the stuff he was giving her prescriptions for. All seems a bit odd.

Can't wait for next week and I haven't felt like that for ages with Holby.

Optimist1 · 06/11/2018 22:33

Could someone explain to me what GasKill was referring to when he was talking about the mother of the newest patient helping him make his escape with other women and children? Initially I thought he was referring to escape from Nazi Germany, but he's nowhere near old enough to have been born during the war. Puzzled.

OP posts:
MyOtherProfile · 06/11/2018 22:51

No idea. I could barely hear him with his usual mumbling. Couldn't tell if he was reminiscing, fantasizing or attempting to be poetic.

SoupDragon · 06/11/2018 23:19

It sounds like he was in some kind of home as a child and suffered abuse.

SleepingStandingUp · 06/11/2018 23:29

Re the prescriptions for Donna, I assume he can sign off prescriptions for a qualified nurse to use for a patient, it's just going private isn't it?
The illegiality is in prescribing for ones own family. They had this in Neighbours when Boo Boo prescribed methodone or similar to Az and then Xanthe found out and thought he was an addict...

HesterLee · 06/11/2018 23:34

Do we know the significance of the abdo scars yet?

MyOtherProfile · 07/11/2018 05:35

Re the prescriptions for Donna, I assume he can sign off prescriptions for a qualified nurse to use for a patient, it's just going private isn't it?

But she is then taking the free drugs she gets from the nhs stock that he is prescribing and selling their use on through her business isn't she? So he's not directly prescribing them to a patient who is paying for them through private channels but it's basically theft. Or have I got that wrong?
