New thread for us

“He’s bad! I can feel it in my bowels!”

ChoccyJules · 03/10/2018 16:48

Current script writers are kicking themselves now, they so would have gone with that!

chocatoo · 04/10/2018 17:09

I couldn't watch the last episode as a) I really liked Rox and am upset for HH and b) I just think its all got a bit too far fetched. I'd prefer it to go back to being more medical drama and less soap.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/10/2018 22:33

I love Jac and Sacha. So opposite in nature but they work.

New F1 I hate already. Like you'd try and sleep with your consultant on the first day when you've just been discussing her partner

QueenofmyPrinces · 05/10/2018 09:44

Just caught up....

I also couldn’t quite work out if the bowel being used was Roxannas? The idea mentioned above that something would be in Roxanna’s bowel that presented itself in Tyler was a good one which has made me think even more that the bowel was Roxanna’s to enable that storyline? Mind you, we’ve still yet to find out what Roxanna was spelling out and that will no doubt lead to Gaskil’s undoing. I was also surprised that he didn’t put any blame on Essie, I didn’t see that coming.

I thought the Sacha and Jac scenes at the end were lovely.

The storyline between Serena and the new doctor is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Never mind the age gap, but trying it on and suggesting sex with clinical lead on your first day would just never happen. It ruined what I thought had been a good episode because it was just such a stupid storyline.

SoupDragon · 05/10/2018 09:55

It’s not Roxanna’s as they were waiting for it to arrive.

QueenofmyPrinces · 05/10/2018 10:21

I know but I assumed the waiting for it to arrive was the time it took for Hansen to say goodbye and then to get Rox back into theatre and remove her bowel as all that would take some time I imagine.

It just seemed a weird coincidence that someone dies within the hospital and then there’s a bowel available Grin

Its a shame it isn’t Rox’s because it would have made a good storyline.

They could have had lots of transplant recipients all over the country being saved by Rox’s organs and they all start having the same side effects and weird happenings and investigations show the common link between them all is that they all received an organ from the same donor Grin

FreeNim · 05/10/2018 10:33

I hope it was Rox's too. That way Gaskell could be nailed. I am utterly fed up of him.

SleepingStandingUp · 05/10/2018 10:44

We are so better at writing storyline than them

QueenofmyPrinces · 05/10/2018 13:32

What other storylines can we come up with?? Grin

Just in case the scriptwriters are MN members Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 05/10/2018 18:24

We want Nicky and Duval together don't we?

Some sodding happiness for HH!!

SleepingStandingUp · 05/10/2018 18:25

Jac and afletch

Fletchs Dad to be a good guy but to work less so he can have the kids

tempname111 · 06/10/2018 11:07

Happiness for HH certainly! But keeping him in the programme. A lovely woman should be introduced that matches his intellect and kookiness. Head over heels and calmness for him

PretendLife · 06/10/2018 11:24

Serena certainly has the allure doesn't she, attracting any passing lesbian.

Surely even Holby couldn't be far fetched enough to have Roxanna's bowel being a match for Tyler...? oh wait.....

Jac doesn't seem as interested in Fletch, hopefully that story line has died a death. Her and Sacha as flat mates....wonder if Fletch will be jealous.

I'm sure Steven being lined up for childcare for Fletch to continue to ignore his children is too simple for Holby. There must be more to him we don't know about yet.

QueenofmyPrinces · 06/10/2018 11:57

He’s going to recuperate at Fletch’s, end up living there permanently and then he’s going to empty the house whilst everyone is out, pack up all the valuables and then do a runner!!

Or it will turn out he’s part of a drug ring, providing all sorts to people to make some extra cash and Fletchs daughter and her mates find his stash, take some pills and end up in ITU.

There’s definitely something dodgy about him.....

Solo · 07/10/2018 14:26

Found you!

Isitmybathtimeyet · 09/10/2018 03:03

Gaskell didn't reassure Essie out of kindness. She was going to report herself for 'straining Roxana' and therefore supposedly causing her to die, and his medical bullshit to her and the spelling out would both have come to light. No idea why Essie hasn't mentioned the bloody message yet though.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/10/2018 12:35

Ah yes of course. I just thought he didn't want her drama in an annoying me way but yes you'll be right.

You might want to sit somewhere quietly and reflect on why you know how GasKill's mind works though. Alone.

frazzled3ds · 09/10/2018 21:24

The new doctor is annoying pain in the arse.

Actually felt sorry for Duvet, seems he's built a fairly big wall around himself and the big I am act is part of that.

GasKill is obnoxious.

ChoccyJules · 09/10/2018 22:01

I liked how Duvet showed Donna his vulnerable side at the end.

I detest the new doctor. So annoying.

GasKill showing a few cracks...wonder how long they will spin it out for?

PretendLife · 10/10/2018 11:15

Why is Donna such a nosy bitch? She really annoyed me with her prying into Duvet's business. Would you really be so crass as to ask someone you had never met before the details of how their brother died? She was awful with her quest to find out everything that was none of her damn business in the first place.

New doc is awful but may change over time I guess. I wonder if the Bernie actress isn't coming back so they need a convenient lesbian for Serena to cheat with and provide a reason.

AGnu · 13/10/2018 10:56

I'd like them to get rid of all of Fletch's family but keep him. They should do some sort of Holby family day trip & Stephen can take the kids because Fletch has to work. Meena's car can break down on the way & she'll attempt to flag him down but he's distracted by all the children bickering & ploughs into her & straight off the cliff. Everyone's dead. Or if that's too dark, it'll turn out that there's some reason Fletch's dad shouldn't have had the kids & they'll get put into care. Fletch will obviously be devastated but Jac can kiss it better. Give it a month & he'll be back to work having forgotten he ever had DC.

PretendLife · 13/10/2018 11:29

A month? more like a week in Holby world! Might as well include Jac's inconvenient child in the car as well then the pair of them can spend all their time at work.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/10/2018 17:48

I do wonder how it must feel to have a top surgeon etc for a parent. DS's surgeon was literally ALWAYS contactable

PretendLife · 14/10/2018 09:42

Fletch isn't a surgeon though, he is mostly desk based with helping out in surgery sometimes. Yet he still managed to get childcare for the whole of the school holidays, not taking time off with his kids. He is choosing to spend more time at work. It would be impossible for him to do his job the way they portray it with 4 kids at the different ages he has. He would spend his salary on child care, if you could even get that sort of cover in real life.
