The thing is that Essie was very suspicious of Gaskill before wasn't she (wasn't that why she left - she lost faith in the project?).

She was, wasn't she. But then he made her feel at fault for things that went wrong (bit vague there as can't quite remember). She seems to have forgotten that.

She actually ruined the second to last episode for me.

I think Essie has run her course. Too many completely unbelievable scenarios (able to foster that young kid from the druggie Mum, various job roles at a moments notice, full speed recovery and back to work). They should send her to a kibbutz for at least a year or something

She could go and help Bernie :)
