Well, I'm simply baffled! I used to be an avid Holby fan but fell off this particular wagon about a year ago.

Who's Gaskell?
Who's Roxanna? (Bit late for that one, it seems)
What's happened to Jac now?!
And Frieda's back? Yay!

Is it worth tuning in again, or will I simply be lost? When I was drifting away from it (just got out the habit really), Bernie and Serena just started their affair. Are they still in it?

An alien? Ooh, idea. What if the Doctor lands on the roof and it turns out GasKill is a Cyber man in disguise?

If the Doctor lands on the roof there will be a rift in the space-time continuum because GasKill was the Doctor!

I used to love it when they had a paediatric ward. Obviously they decided adults made better story lines than kids.

Well with the way Fletch parents they could fill the paediatric ward with the Fletchlings!

Who's Gaskell?. A supposedly amazing neurosurgeon who is an old friend of Henrik Hansen. He's doing questionable research with awful ethics that involved killing Roxanne because she threatened to tell
Who's Roxanna? (Bit late for that one, it seems) another Uni mate of Henrik and Gaskell. She found out what GasKill was doing and threatened to tell. She accidently got hit by a car so he capitalised on it and killed her
What's happened to Jac now?!. Henrik son shot her, her back was screwed, GasKill did his dodgy surgery on her and half his patients die.

I know I'm late but I just had to say this to someone who would understand. I'm actually kind of heartbroken about Roxanna. It was achingly sad seeing that tear fall out of her eye. I'm really worried about poor HH now!

And to whoever said Gaskill needs to die - agreed!

I think moaning Meena is actually going to turn out to be the hero here. Essie is too blinded by Gaskill, but Meena knows he's shady as hell.

BTW I think the reason Meena is being weird and wimpy about her own life is that she has some form of severe self esteem issue. I hope she breaks through that barrier and becomes Meaner (only against Gaskill of course) and gets some form of vengeful justice, and the when Duvall decides she's worth it, she goes "too late"!

Yeah I'd like to see Meema get past it and become actually self confident. Sort out GasKill. Reject Duvet publicly.

SleepingStandingUp - I am not sure if you will approve or not of the fact I now record Holby so I can fast forward through the Fletch's children and father bits, I don't mind Fletch but his family are so annoying. At least if I am fast forwarding we can each find a way to watch without being disappointed! :-D

I really hope Roxanna is still alive, I really like her, I'd like to see her and HH together, he deserves some love.

I used to like it when they had a maternity ward (the name of which escapes me) - they always messed up surrogacy storylines but it was interesting to watch.

I wonder if the Holby script writers look at this thread?

If they do I think they should have Holby as a 12 part series a couple of times a year. Go back to featuring other wards and normal hospital life. Have a couple of long running story lines and other patient one off stories. Have new staff, get rid of the ones that have been around too long doing the same old thing. Taking a break means you can come back with new people and stories instead of re-hashing the same old thing - how many times have we been there with Fletch being a shit father and doing nothing to change it.

Back to the days of Eliot, Sasha and Chrissy, Michael Spence etc more believable stuff.

Enough now with the dramatic unrealistic stories. Such bad shit does not keep happening to the same group of people. What next? you have run out of disasters now. I only watch so I can criticise - not what you are aiming for?

The one that winds me up is we get these "NHS is under resourced" heartwrenching stories obviously intended to tick the "done the gritty reality thing" box... then you've got Gaskill's bloody mahoosive lab, any Holby staff member being housed in an individual room you could have fitted half the post-natal hell hole I was on into and other flipping ridiculousness.

They'll never lock the roof door... they'd only have the queue for the coffee lady (I'd get really pissed off if I was behind them in the line and they kept me waiting for 5 minutes while they had their existential crisis of the day), or the hospital garden to have their melodramatic life moments in if they got rid of the roof. And stick Essie and Moany Meena up on it indefinitely as some kind of roof ornaments too because they do my bloody head in.

Essie is really annoying me now! She's gone from transplant co-ordinator to scrub nurse to neuro expert! With a load of other rubbish in between. Sooooo unrealistic.
