New reality show on C4

Users are in individual apartments and can only communicate via messaging

Eek. The phew was to Harry being ok not to Alex winning both. Would have preferred only the runners up to be up for the viewers vote.

Alex looks gutted too! I'm both happy he was a favourite of mine but I would have liked it to be split. Wonder if the circle uncovered will reveal ratings

Really disappointed with the result.

Alex voted everyone low in the final ratings and his tactics were the only reason he won. Sian and Dan were most popular across the show and both finished with nothing because they voted with integrity.

Anyone know what the viewing figures were like for the programme? I wonder if we will see more of any of them? (Didn't someone say Freddie was signed up for more already?)

Hope it comes back, with a better set of presenters.

I'm really pleased for Alex. I seem to remember he said in the early days that he'd never been popular so he wanted to make up a popular person behind his girlfriend's looks. But he ended up largely being himself, using his own personality.

So yes, I think he's been successful in showing how easy it is to be fooled by a catfish - but I hope he'll also realise that he's got a great personality and that all those bullies from his youth were wrong.

Yes it means it wasn’t really a popularity contest at all just a who is snaky and votes everyone low wins. Alex owes his win to Dan giving him 5 stars. Would be good if he shares it but once you’re home with £75,000 in the bank and never have to see the other players again realistically you’d keep it all Grin

Super happy for Alex! He has proven that people are not who they say they are on social media and you need to be wary! Kind of wish Dan had won the 25k but oh well. So glad Freddy didn't win. I haven't ever seen such a vile caricature of a human being before!

Is it validation for Alex in a way? He's a nice guy whether he's playing himself or not. I think the fact he felt so guilty misleading Dan meant he didn't come across very well when explaining it.

I'll definer be watching the follow up show, hopefully they will have some interviews with players once they've had a chance to calm down and watch some footage.

Freddy was crying at the end, I wonder if he's just overwhelmed or genuinely upset he didn't win. I was being a bit catty about him earlier but he did seem to have a lot riding on it

I voted for Alex because I really didn't think he would win the players' vote. Does feel like an odd message to be sending; liars prosper, but then Alex does seem like a nice chap and I think he'll do good with the money (and yes, give some to Dan!)

Maybe it would have been better to have the public vote every week, and tot up or average the scores at the end? Even blocked players would have a chance then. Or at least include them in the public vote.

I can't get my head round if the game is flawed. It relied on people being tactical or not. And the tactical person won, and I bet Freddie might come out second. I thought it was meant to be most popular, not most tactical. Kate was not the most popular!

Twogirlsandme the presenters are both big BBC Radio DJs. And Maya Jama is Stormzy's girlfriend too. So they were proper big signings for the show.
I don't see how anyone can be irritated at Kate winning, really. The whole point was to play a game and win. Freddie and Sian really disliked her, but the more that Alex's personality came out, the more they liked her. So actually they liked Alex better than Kate.

I thought the point of the game was to create the ultimate popular person, but that’s not what happened. K/ Alex was not the most popular player, Sian had the best ratings across the series followed by Dan.

Instead the game just rewarded the players who voted everybody else low and managed to dupe a player with integrity (in this case Dan) into giving good ratings. Alex voted everyone low and won because of it, not because he was popular with the other players.

If there’s been rules against tactical voting Alex wouldn’t have won.
