Couldn't see a thread on this already so just posted to say it is back on Tuesday 28th August.

Less than 2 weeks to go. Yippee!

Love how confident manon is but not in a cocky way. She's also so encouraging to the others in a really genuine way, I hope she goes the distance

Ruby is getting on my nerves. I dislike her and wish she’d stop sulking. I like Briony.

Just finished watching - anyone else think (ahem) Pauls eyes were more sparkly? Like he's wearing contacts.

Rousette will be watching extra slice on Friday. Was Imelda there - is she nice?

Loved the back to the future ref and them mentioning Prue tweeting the name of the winner.

DD and I were rooting for Terry, but only because his horse looks like ours!

I like Terry and Briony and find it hard to dislike anyone who goes to compete in bake off with a selection of crisps. Having said that there is an element of “I’m mad me” in some of the contestants, including crisp lady that will become irritating.
I agree with the PP who suggested nobody should leave in week one with two going in week two.

@walkerbean DH and I said exactly the same! Think it’s her mouth that is so similar.

When the countdown to finish their self portraits happened, it looked like an explosion in a biscuit factory on every work station with half assembled offerings. Do they get time to tidy them up, because when presented they all looked half decent and resembled the actual drawing?

I hate Biscuit Week, it always seems to have much more to do with things like construction and icing than baking. Still, at least it's over and done with.

Pleased that Terry Moustache has scraped through: even though his showstopper did remind me somewhat of Lenin lying in state

I loved Terry’s death mask - really innovative and brandy snaps are my fav.

Kim-Joy will annoy the shit out of me.

I like Briony and loved Anthony

I think I'm alone in immediately liking Kim-Joy. She had a lovely manner, and her style seems idiosyncratic but not overtly weird.

Also like the DJ, the Bristol woman and Square crisps.

Interestingly, only once has the person who got star Baker in week one gone on to win (Nancy). The stats aren't in Manon's favour

Another one for the pro-Briony camp! Loving Noels new dad bod look too. Karen is really getting on my tits - but then so did Marie and Stacey from before. It's something about the "posh but pretending to be relatable" thing.

Ruby is going to be the pouting, flouncing one that there'll be Paul related rumours about, just like Candice. I did warm to Candice in the end though, so I'll wait and see r.e. Ruby. Apparently she's said somewhere in interview that she learnt how to bake by "being mum" to her useless male uni housemates, so that prejudiced me against her from the start 😂

I’m watching the series where Candice won, again on Netflix and the negging that Paul does on her is unreal. Totally fancied the pants off her.

Loved Terry's death mask. I have no opinion about the others except that Ruby is so beautiful I hope she stays in for a while! Like a young Sandra Bullock. I guess the longer she/Manon are in the longer we will have to put up with Paul creeping on to them
