It has gone a bit downhill lately and the whole Mr spam and his records etc etc means i tend to zone out a bit when they are on, although i do like Patrick and Bernie characters. and they deserve better.
its all being rehashed too - Honey and Billy ( yawn, been done before)
Tiff and naughty boys - all was done before not that long ago either.
Ian running a business into the ground ( i bet he does) been done before, heading for a breakdown and a return of the woolley hat probably.
nothing new happening and characters like Bernie, Jay and Kim are being underused.

Kush told everyone at the launch party that Kim was pregnant and also had a fling with the Irish ( never seen before) waitress at the opening night at Ian and Mas's place.
He told Carmel nothing happened and she ' needed a place to stay' as she had problems with her boyfriend, but I took it that they had slept together ( carmel caught her going out of Kush's room) and Carmel looked suspicious.
I must admit, i ve not been paying that much attention to the episodes this week for one reason or another, but think thats correct 70!

Did anyone else find the Honey/Susan and the dentist dinner out really anger inducing? She's a single mother of two kids (one with special needs) holds down a job, lived alone in Canada(?) for some time etc etc yet couldn't cope at a posh restaurant? Really? The dentist going all pretty woman was dreadfully patronising and I'm not normally one for wearing my feminist hat - but it really got my blood boiling!

I wonder if ted has cashed in the Aussie flight to get the money and he never intended to go Really?

At first I thought Ted's ticket was for a visit to Australia, but next thing we knew he was packing up all his belongings (to ship them over? to put in storage?) so it looked like a permanent move. I find it hard to believe that someone with friends and interests would decide to move to the other side of the world without at least seeing whether he liked it there. Of course it could be that he has no intention of going, nor of managing his angina and is just tidying everything up before his imminent reunion with Mrs Spam.

I know I felt exactly the same about the restaurant situation.

To be fair , Honey has always been a bit of an ‘air head’ ditzy type at times / low self esteem etc. It was clunky but I think this is the side they were trying to protray plus her guilt at lying to Billy.
The restaurant did look nice however/ wonder where that was!

I felt for Ian in that Friday episode and I like that the writers haven’t forgotten Kathy’s betrayal. I don’t know if I could ever forgive my mum if she did what Kathy did.

Yes, Kathy lied about being dead in south africa, but her ex Gavin, had a hold over her and forced her to comply with his demands.
She had to carry on lying for years in order to stay alive ( that was implied at least) as he was a huge threat.
Its not right, but neither is Ian making him choose between him and Masood - Ian isnt a saint and he manipulated Melanie into marrying him by pretending Lucy had cancer! not quite the same thing, but neither of them have led a blameless life. Plus, why is he is so anti Mas anyway? compared to Phil or some of her other exs he isnt that bad and you would want your mum to be happy - he did forgive her about what happened, he should move on with his life and let her live hers.

Ian is in his late 40s or early 50s, he's not a bloody child. Let his mother be happy. Either he accepts what they have both done in the past and lets her get on with it or he should have cut her out completely when she returned.
There should be a spin off called 'Eastenders Wanted Down Under' so the characters can try australia and NZ before they go. Lauren and her kid in NZ, Ted in australia etc.
