What did Megan say about Laura? I was watching but must of missed that bit

Ellie and Charlie from Casa Amor have both commented on Alexandra’s Instagram showing support and agreeing with her speech the other night. I do think that there’s a ‘side’ to Alex that isn’t immediately obvious, and that the girls in there who became close to him romantically got a bit of a surprise.

My theory is that he likes the idea of being in a couple but pushes girls away once they start becoming ‘real’ - people with thoughts and feelings and desires and flaws rather than just a homogenous blob of ‘woman’. It’s probably why he’s attracted to Megan, who not only is very stereotypically sexy, but quite guarded and quiet. He’d probably go off her too once he actually got to know her as more than an object.

I’ve known men like him in real life, it’s often come from a mixture of insecurity and inexperience. I’m sure he’ll meet the right person one day and feel happy enough with himself to let them become close and develop a meaningful relationship - I hope so anyway, it’s what everyone deserves.

I had really begun to like Megan but she's a little shit again. Taking Laura's man wasn't enough for her, she wants her out of the villa too. At least Wes has been nice to Laura and said nice things about her after what they did to her but Megan just seems to see Laura as the villain and not herself.

I think Kaz and Josh might go, especially after tonight's comments about the make up etc.

Jack winds me up the way he insists Alex1 should stay in the villa, just because he's his mate doesn't mean he shouldn't be up for eviction.

Aaaaand.....poor Laura and Pauls date seemed a bit shit compared to the others.

I haven't found this series too bad, I agree probably not as dramatic as previous years, but it's been okay. Perhaps these threads have helped keep me entertained, not so much the actual programme.

I voted for Alex and Alex because I want Josh to go.
I do agree the dates seemed very variable in budget and suitability for the couples. Josh must be mighty annoyed he didn’t get the boat or car date.

It just seems ridiculous for Alex and Alex to be in the final though. Even though I certainly would want to see the back of Josh.

Yes I think this is very true. It's possible he has a low sex drive certainly.

Why does Megan talk like Katie Price? It's true she literally has nothing interesting to say at all.

Didn't watch last night but sounds like it has been edited to show Josh in a bad light so that Dr Alex will be saved. And of course everyone loves Alexandra so that will help. How many chances is this man going to get??? It's so obvious the producers want Dr Alex in the final.

I find it hard to understand WHY the producers want Alex in the final? It certainly appears like they do. Although, they didn't have to get the other couples to choose who to dump either. I know they did the same last year at some stage, but has it been done this year yet? Can't remember. Have a vague recollection of a couple vote for something.

Did anyone else notice that Alec was in the preview to the meet the parents that was shown at the end last night? Does this mean that they'll do the evictions at the end of Sundays episode? It's going to be awkward if both Alex's parents meet isn't it?

To be fair, I think Megan was right when she said Laura would have coasted with wes knowing it wasn't working, I also think she would have, she said that's what she was doing when they split up.

I also don't think you can steal someone's partner, if they don't want to be with you they don't want to be with you.

I'm curious to see rhe parents, you can often tell a lot about the kid fro. Seeing the parents.

Re the dates...

Some eagle eyed viewers are suggesting Smegans’s date was faked. They reckoned it was a big screen in the background. Certainly, I thought the bobbing (of the boat) was a bit “regular” and I wondered why Smeg wasn’t being seasick.😂

Come to think of it there was also talk of the Ferrari date being a bit odd. Something to do with speed - or lack of it. Hmmmm

Joshyyy’s date was probably in a disused aircraft hangar. Obv tarted up.

And the balloon ride had a label on the basket that spelled “ flights” wrongly. Curious...

The upshot is that Laura and Paul had the best date. Hurrah.

I'm sure you've all see this....but it really gave me a giggle.

Re the prospect of one of my ds taking home a girl like Megan...

I wouldn't be happy. And not because of the stripping per se, but because her looks are all she is. She has created this sex doll version of herself, at a very young age, with a ridiculous amount of plastic surgery. She obviously values her appearance above everything else and yes she may well have had self esteem issues before, but she's dealt with them the wrong way imo. I think even she can see that, given her comments on how men just objectify her. I also wouldn't want my ds to be with someone quite so vacuous and catty. Plus the cocaine pics wouldn't help. I can't see wes's family being overjoyed right now.

If Alex 1 makes the Final the whole idea behind Love Island will have been trashed.

He is going to be so shocked at the tide of opinion that has built up against him. He won’t be able to dismiss that so easily, by turning away frostily, his eyes hidden behind shades.

I’m sure they are well briefed by psychologists before they resume normal life. I bloody hope so!

Glad I’m not the only one who thought the Megan and Wes date looked fake. I said the same to DH. It looked like they were in front of a green screen for the close up shots.

I think the Ferrari going at about 2mph might have been about filming their conversation. With the top down the wind noise might have made it difficult for them to talk, or difficult to record.
