Here we go again

OP posts:
RainySeptember · 27/07/2018 09:05

Or he just hasn't fancied any of them enough.

ffaith · 27/07/2018 09:07

I called Alexandra basic but hey silly me I thought it was allowed to express a personal opinion on a public forum about
a contestants on a popular game show.

About the personal name calling that tells me all I need to know about you and what kind of individual you are .

OhIGotTheMemo · 27/07/2018 09:08

I get the physical affection thing though - I am not a touchy feely person. I would have to really, really like someone to be physically affectionate to them. Especially in swim wear!! I couldn't just switch it on and off at someones request.

He doesn't strike me as gay at all. I think he is looking for a bit of a sloane ranger type, very demure but practical. A woman who would take charge of both him, the household and two well bred brown labs.

Taffeta · 27/07/2018 09:22

Agree Dr Alex shouldn’t have been on the show

He’s not up for it like everyone else in there which creates its own issues

Alexandra has been ace, mustering some dignity after being treated like shit

I met lots of men in my time like Dr Alex, emotional fuck ups

She’s well out of it

I love Wes
I like Alexandra and Dani

The rest are meh

Zazu44 · 27/07/2018 09:24

Just watched last nights episode 😳

Dr. Alex -0
Alexandra - 10000000000000

Ki0612 · 27/07/2018 09:25

I think it was cruel to dump her straight after the date. He's a horror. I haven't liked him since Laura 2 came in. He should've picked the other girl at the recouping and left Alexandra alone rather than stringing her along and making it worse. I hope Alexandra walks with her head held high rather than humiliated more.

cathyandclare · 27/07/2018 09:26

Spot on!!! Except the labs would be black for sure.

Zazu44 · 27/07/2018 09:27

What an absolute prick he is.

She is the sort of women that makes us women proud. Head held high and totally wiped the floor with him ..... Go Alexandra ❤️

RoseWhiteTips · 27/07/2018 09:39

I tend to think it's more about pursuing girls because he's on a game show where you go home if you don't pursue girls, but no he hasn't really been into any of them, how dare he.

You’re too heavily invested in the sainted doctor. What a waste of your time.

TatianaLarina · 27/07/2018 09:40

The idea that Alex hasn’t fancied anyone in the the house because he has a professional job is bizarre.

You can still find people physically attractive even if you wouldn’t be in ltr with them. He has zero physical attraction to a single woman.

I’ve seen no sign he fancies Laura. His particular MO is to make out he fancies someone for a bit and back off when physical contact is in the offing.

I mentioned previously a lawyer who dated him and contacted a newspaper to say to say went on 4 dates and then he ghosted her. Similar pattern.

Why would a Sloane be interested in a provincial boy with no social graces? He would still have to kiss her and that’s where it all falls apart.

RoseWhiteTips · 27/07/2018 09:46

Re Megan whom he “clearly fancied”:

I would bet with confidence that IF he had found himself with Megan, the end result would have been the very same.

He has wasted a place in LI.

"ou’re too heavily invested in the sainted doctor. What a waste of your time."

Not really. There's just a few days left and then they'll all be basically dead to me. But until then I'm enjoying the threads, as are you I think, given your prolific posting.

Bizarretortoise · 27/07/2018 09:47

Rose you’ve been equally invested in slagging him off.
You hate Alex, we get it.

parklives · 27/07/2018 09:49

There's more drama no this thread than in the villa this year!

This is it exactly, he also gaslights them to make it look like the woman's fault and not him.

OhIGotTheMemo · 27/07/2018 09:56

I think the best of the lot this season was Jack 2, was sad to see him go. Not immediately attractive but became very very attractive I think, his personality and they way he carried himself. Was sad to see him go. He is the only one who didn't make me cringe.

Alexandra is absolutely lovely but totally unsuited to the Dr. She will look back and feel embarrassed that she was ever interested in him I think.

nicebitofquiche · 27/07/2018 10:07

I don't think Dr Alex has done anything wrong. I think he's too much of a gent to do anything physical with someone he's not really into. Alexandra is pretty and nice but I find her personality very dull. He was right to give it time to see if something developed but it didn't so he had to tell her. I do feel sorry for her though.

RoseWhiteTips · 27/07/2018 10:12

Lovingtheisland

I rather think you are not alone in having preferences or standards. Most of the current posters on this thread are probably very similar to you, amazingly! Most of us will have sought - or be seeking - someone who is an intellectual equal, attractive, professional etc.

However, we would never find ourselves in a game show, especially one like this. Assuming Alex1 has a similar set of values and similar educational background, interests and aspirations, the question had to be asked:
What on earth is he doing there?

RoseWhiteTips · 27/07/2018 10:13

...has to be...

RoseWhiteTips · 27/07/2018 10:17

It seems bizarre to actual rate Josh and Wes more highly these days than Alex1. Despite their many failings, however, I do. At least with them what you see us what you get; with him it’s constant whining and attention seeking behaviour.

Bizarretortoise · 27/07/2018 10:17

Bluntness if a girl had behaved towards a boy the way that Alex did Alex3, I don’t think It would be seen in the same way. If he wanted to be a dick, he would have strung her along until the final.
Personally, and actually this doesn’t reflect well on him, I thought the way Alex3 dresses in these situations puts him off. She can dress however she wants, obviously, but it does appear to be a turnoff for Alex. Like in the hideaway.
My DH said he’d have run a mile.
Why can’t we just all accept different people find different things attractive. As I’ve said before, the men in there all give me the ick (although Charlie who was dumped with Hayley was winning me over). The women are all very much the same. I love Alexandra - she’s coming across so well, and fair play to her for what she said to Alex. I’d be pissed off too, but he’s not really done anything wrong other than disappoint her. Wes, Josh, Jack2, Adam, have all behaved far far worse to the women in there.
