Alex is in his first year post FY2 so still very junior. As he is not an observer and gynae trainee he will have only assisted in a c-section but definitely has not done one independently, unless in an emergency with no one more experienced around, which is pretty much will not happen in urban areas in the uk. But after assisting a few cases you will know what it involves. But non obs&gynae trainees are absolutely NOT allowed to do c-sections in the UK!

Dr Alex just wanted a girl to show interest in him so he didn't look like a total loser, the reality is he couldn't wait to stop pretending he was interested in her. He's about to do it for the second time.

He's not been interested in any girl really, and there has been all sorts in there and let's be honest, some of the girls are gorgeous. He just pretends then soon as he can he's out of there.

I really don't respect him at all. He's dishonest.

He's not even fancied any girls, sure he's pretended but he's really not fancied anyone. I mean, shit, im straight and even id fancy some of those girls, some of them are gorgeous. He's simply not interested. No flicker. Nothing.

If Laura2 had shown interest she'd 100 percent be in the same boat as Alexandra. No two ways about it.

He's gay

All the girls are pretty similar though and the ones he’s really liked haven’t been into him. The others, especially Jack, have really pressurised him at times. He’s so far out of his comfort zone, he’s been trying hard to fit in. If he really was dishonest, he’d fake it with Alex3 for the final few days.

It is entirely possible he hasn't found anyone in there who he truly fancies. That happened with Lauren in season 1 and Adam in season 2.

Bluntness - I agree with you.

Medical students go through thick and thin together and most of them marry someone who they met on their course. The fact that he hasn't does speak volumes.
