Anyone else watching?

I caught the last half hour of last nights episode and really enjoyed it so binge watched the other episodes today. I thought it was great, I liked all of the women and thought it was a lovely portrayal of female friendship. The media, and society as whole, does seem to write women off once they reach a certain age so it was great to see all these women living life to the full and leading mostly happy lives.

Agree Madge and isn't it great to have a short series where everyone isn't at each others throats.

Celeb Big Brother is coming up, no doubt there'll be lots of swearing and shouting.

I've just watched this and actually really enjoyed it - more for the female friendship and supporting each other aspect which was really sweet.

How lovely is Annabel Giles? Both physically and as a person - she seems like she'd be a great friend.

I did think Melinda Messenger came across as a bit strange. I couldn't quite put my finger on why though. Her whole idea of moving there with her 14 year old daughter seemed just bizarre. When she started tear-ing up about them having watched Mamma Mia together and wanting to live abroad, it was weird.

It was also nice to see older women on television who aren't plastic 20 year olds purely obsessed with insta-fame.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.
