Of course there's specific editing. They're condensing 24 hours into 45 minutes. As I've said before, it's the producers' job to get ratings so they show us drama and character. There's no motivation for them to get certain individuals more air time other than viewing figures.

Charlie/Ellie and Samira/Frankie just sitting around and kissing isn't exciting. Arguments are, which is why I imagine Georgia and Samira haven't been having any as I'm sure that they woud have been aired, like the one between Ellie and Georgia.

I agree with this. It's not like they sit and say "ok everyone should get an equal crack at air time, to stand a chance of winning". Basically they show what they think will get the most viewers and the most attention. Which is what their job is.

Watching Sam/Frankie/Ellie/Charlie gazing lovingly into each other's eyes and conversing quietly isn't exactly a ratings winner, and people would soon be shouting it was boring as hell.

Watching Laura get her arse in her hands again, or Ellie hurling abuse at Georgia, or building up the tension to see if Alex will be eventually picked, is always going to get more viewers than quiet smooching on the day bed.

Ellie's hair is getting a lot of hate online, are they clip-in extensions that she just has in all the time? Or something else? They're terrible, she would look so much better with them out and her natural short hair

I think Ellie and Charlie will go next followed by Josh and Kaz. Then Laura and Jack 2.

It's interesting, I don't see Ellie as beautiful, more a fairly normal young woman who has tried to look like the insta crowd with extensions and fillers. Pretty, but certainly not up there in the beautiful ranks. If I walked past her in the street I wouldn't be thinking "god she's beautiful"

I think Samira, Laura, Georgia, are all much more naturally attractive if I'm honest. Georgia however without her make up looks very very young indeed. I also suspect Laura looks very thin in real life.

It made me laugh (in a bittersweet way) when Alex asked to speak to Samira alone and told her to ‘take a seat.’ Reminded me of when they take you aside in hospitals to give you bad news.

I do think he’s probably a great doctor. He’s empathetic and kind and the others in there obviously adore him - he’s just shit with women. It’s strange.

Wes and Megan are much more interesting because of how they came to be and how fast it's progressing. Jack and Dani are quite funny, but you don't see them just lying around kissing either , it's more when they do or say something they get air time. Like jacks funny happy dance for Alex, or Dani telling Laura to get a grip.

I think there's just not enough Love Island Grin extend it to 90 minutes a day, give them some better tasks and for pitys sake give us an episode on Saturday. I'm hooked.

I agree it's unacceptable that Samira got so little air time with Frankie.

Idris is creepy as fuck. If Alex3 chooses him it says a lot about her poor character

Ellie has a pretty face. Unfortunately she has a very unattractive temper and the way she treats people is horrible. She reminds me of the Veela in Harry Potter.
Idris is desperate and stupid. DH reckons he’s taken too many blows in the ring.

To be fair, Charlie and Ellie get very little air time. As do Dani and jack as simply a couple. I think to say it's unacceptable we would need to see what they were up to. The producers can't just give them air time for the sake of it, if it's all a bit dull. Frankie to be honest, didn't seem to have a lot about him. A bit like Charlie in that regard. Not a big character.

That messenger chat with Idris is hilarious, get that woman on Love Island.

I so don't want Dr Alex to go, yes he's awkward with banter and chat up lines but whenever I've hit it off with someone it's because we've found common interests, friends or something. With Grace and Ellie there was literally nothing there, he's have been more comfortable asking them about their past medical history!! It's interesting to see that Ellie is very much (platonically) team Alex now, despite a few dodgy things between them in the past.

Alex has really grown on me. I hope Alexandra chooses him. If he goes I probably won't watch LI any more because I have to say there are not many people in there I like.

When you see pics of Ellie from the outside she looks much better. She might just be one of those people (like me except x 1 million in my case) that just look like shit on holiday for no apparent reason 😂

That's not how it works though unique, that everyone gets equal air time and then decide who wins. It's an entertainment show. They show what they think is the most entertaining.

To be honest, I've no real desire to sit and watch Charlie/Ellie/Dani/jack/sam/Frankie sit and snog and chat quietly. I'd stop watching it would be too dull for me.

Bluntness100 Samira and Frankie were voted by the other islanders to have a night in the hideaway. All the surrounding conversations around that were also edited out, I'm sure all of that wasn't dull.

There are other clips of Frankie and Samira having fun that were aired in the saturday show which showed them in a completely different light, but it isn't watched by anywhere near as many people.

I think we would have liked to see how Samira and Frankie's relationship was and see what happened in the hideaway. So editing that out seems weird and deliberate. They went way, way over the top on the whole kiss-gate thing it got dull and repetitive, why not a minute less of that and a minute update on Frankie and Samira?
