Other thread is nearly full.
Looks like it’s all going to kick off tonight.

ThunderInMyHeart I just think Megan's a bit of a goldfish. Not very bright, no introspection and just lives in the moment, forgetting everything that's gone before.

ElspethFlashman · 06/07/2018 23:45

Well I'll hold my hand up and say I'm massively invested.

Well done to those of you who are oh so noble and don't give a shit about any of it despite posting loads.... But I am OBSESSED!

Jack2 may have been telling the truth but I am side eyeing him just rolling over and apparently not giving L a hug. Now admittedly it was 5am, he was knackered, and it's entirely possible he actually did give her a brief hug, he just didn't want a postmortem at that hour of the morning. That's the thing, we don't know.

But I don't blame her for feeling vulnerable at all.

I'm conflicted about G. She had clearly been crying a lot. Hard to know whether it was an unreliable narrator type of situation, like when Sansa "remembers" kissing The Hound in the GoT books even though it never happened. Could it be she actually remembered it as mutual?

ElspethFlashman · 06/07/2018 23:51

I have been on the fence about Dani, but right now I just think she is a v v v young drama llama.

So I'm not at all interested.

What I'm baffled about is how she has led a very privileged life, but seems to have little or no education. People bang on about Charlie being a trust fund baby but young Dani comes from real BBC money. They are absolutely loaded. So why does she talk like she left school at 14???

Moonkissedlegs · 06/07/2018 23:53

The girls need to get to a counter when they get back and get their foundation undertone properly matched. So much green and grey!

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 07/07/2018 00:02

To be fair Elspeth though Danny Dyer is an established household name now, he certainly wasn’t when Dani was a young child. She may or may not have been privately educated but Danny himself is not well educated and a lot of how well a child fares at school can depend on the weight of importance education is given in the home.

It was evident on his episode of Who Do You Think You Are? that his vocabulary was quite limited and his grasp of basic British history poor

Chipstick10 · 07/07/2018 00:07

They just need to get to a Bobbi brown counter, they would be sorted in minutes.

ElspethFlashman · 07/07/2018 00:16

He's still worked constantly since 1999 (god I hate that I looked that up). He's been earning well all her life. He's now worth well over 3 million but even when she was little he was consistently earning well.

I just find there's this massive disconnect between their lifestyle and the way she comes across.

I think it's a bit sad if she has no education given her Dad's a millionaire. It should be able to buy that, at least.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 07/07/2018 00:21

I’ve just seen that she did at least one term at a prestigious school (which he apparently blagged for free)

That said all the money in England cannot make a child who isn’t the sharpest tool sharper if the grey matter simply isn’t there

RoseWhiteTips · 07/07/2018 00:22

Dani might be dyslexic. I remember how she spelled missionary...

RoseWhiteTips · 07/07/2018 00:23

However, I think she is not terribly clever.

ThunderInMyHeart · 07/07/2018 00:27

I don’t understand Charlie’s Accent. Old money...connotes public school...where’s the accent? Or is he mockneying?

SlimGin · 07/07/2018 00:37

@thunder it's hard to tell. I think he's mockneying to an extent but also personally I pick up people's accents so unawaringly and so quickly could have also happened to him. I can't remember how he spoke when he first came in as didn't bother with him at all.
I hope he's not faking.

Re Dani's intelligence - aside from the spelling of missionary and the way her accent portrays her how do we know she's not clever? Mainly playing devils advocate here but tbh none of them are portrayed as smart, even people who we know are clever eg Alex.

BinkyTheBlinky · 07/07/2018 01:00

Ellie let herself down.

But OMG I cannot imagine living with Georgia. I think I’d probably have tried to drown her by now.

LuxuryTime · 07/07/2018 01:37

That was hands down the best episode I’ve seen so far Grin

I was laughing, drooling, hiding behind my cushion and squealing the whole of the challenge.

BarbraDear · 07/07/2018 01:38

There's not enough eye bleach in the world to unsee Dr Alex's dance. He makes me cringe myself inside out.

Georgia is a dick.

I can't help but like Josh and Wes! Wes makes me laugh and I like Josh's banter. I know they are shits but I can't help it.

I don't think the whole blow up was because of an actual peck on the mouth but more about how Georgia was a snake about it and didn't mention it. If she had told them/Laura when she came back it wouldn't have went the way it did.

'Horribly common' are you for real? What a nasty, snobby thing to say. This is Xenia I assume? Only she would write such a thing.

RainySeptember · 07/07/2018 06:39

Xenia's dc didn't go to a small independent school!

It's not a nice choice of words but I think is probably shorthand for poor vocabulary and unattractive accent.

mnahmnah · 07/07/2018 06:41

Apparently Megan’s dad is horrified by her behaviour and has taken 3 weeks off work to avoid the embarrassment!

Missbrick1 · 07/07/2018 07:33

🤣🤣 ha ha will he ever be able to return? I didn’t think about the parents, imagine how hard it must be for them.

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 07/07/2018 07:38

Catching up right now and place marking - was out last night 🤒.

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 07/07/2018 07:39

That picture of Kaz though (!)

Zampa · 07/07/2018 07:39

I'm otally over invested as you can see by my research into Charlie below, just because of Thunder's question above ...

Brakes Catering was only established in 1958, I'm guessing by Charlie's Grandad and great uncles. It was floated in the mid 1980s, netting the family £££ but his Dad wouldn't have grown up mega rich. Certainly not old money. The family's 43% stake was sold a couple of years ago for billions. Charlie would have left school by then so again, he only grew up wealthy rather than the child of a billionaire. Incidentally, he went to a good minor public school where the fees are £25,605 (day) and £38,610 (boarding).

Anyway, his accent can probably switch between RP and something less formal when he's with friends.
