In Laura’s case I think she actually is unreasonable and unhinged.

She’s there to find a husband. She’s completely delusional about her relationship with Wes which isn’t working in the house let alone the outside world. She wants him to be someone he’s not. The times he needles her should show her than he’s just not that into her and they don’t really get on. Instead she throws a wobbly, long tedious discussions ensue, they patch things up and she gives him a bj.

This is not a functional relationship.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/06/2018 08:33

It’s filmed but not shown. The producers will choose their stories they want to show in the edit suite. Also they can easily overlook something that might be a little flirt that is irrelevant now but significant in a week.

I don’t think their doing a great job in the edit suite. I’m guessing there are researchers briefed to note down interesting footage but we like to see the fun stuff too and it seems like they are more looking at narky chats to back up the “pulling for a chat” bits.

ffaith · 27/06/2018 08:58

The Wes and Meghan thing came out of the blue. Bad editing and/or she is putty in the hands of a producer. Enjoyed the episode at the time now I just think a vunerable young woman is being exploited for the sake of good TV.
Shes already shagged 1 bloke in there I shudder to think how many more she will do. I really hope there is more to her than just sex. Pretty sure my concerns are valid and I m not just being a prude.

BusterTheBulldog · 27/06/2018 08:59

I think Laura is getting a bit of unfair flack here. At first she was hesitant with Wes, being realistic about where they were in their lives, but Wes totally did a job on her about what could happen, what he wanted on the outside etc! He said ALL of the things someone would want to hear at the beginning and Laura held back.

I don’t like the slag type comments but I can see in the heat of the moment why you’d say that tbh.

Bluntness100 · 27/06/2018 09:05

I think it’s more the boys bullying Laura

I think the fact the girls are not supporting Laura tells us this isn't the case. I don't believe for a moment they all lack empathy and are complicit with the boys.

The fact the girls don't support her either tells us a lot. Namely they also don't like her behaviour.

To us Laura has come across as needy and demanding. I suspect it's a lot worse when you're in there living with it and witnessing it. Seeing the full extent of it. As much as we ca justify Adams pieing her as revenge, another two men also pied her.

Either way, Laura is being rejected by the group, both Male and female. Megan isn't popular and treated her badly, yet still all the men and women are not on Laura's side. No one seemed to think wes shouldnrt jump ship

When that happens there is always a reason. We don't really see much of her interactions with others to be able to tell what's causing it, but no one is on her side.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/06/2018 09:14

I can’t remener who the other two pies were from.

When Rosie talked to Adam she had lots of support all round. I do think it’s telling but I’m guessing tomorrow nights ep will show more people consoling her. I think she does react irrationally to smaller things too and can imagine (but obviously this is me imagining and not saying it’s fact) that she doesn’t let it go much in the day either and goes on a lot about it to others. Also have we seen much of her talking to others about their relationships? I’m not sure that we’ve seen much of that when most of the other girls we’ve seen being an ear at some point but it might be just how I’m remembering it.

bobsandvagene · 27/06/2018 09:19

I think if Megan and eyall are voted off then Wes will gravitate towards Ellie

Shambu · 27/06/2018 09:25

One person who comes out of all the shenanigans well is Georgia. She ran off to Laura to comfort her, she slept outside with Rosie so that she wasn't on her own. Earlier she seemed like the most immature contestant, now she seems like one of the few grown-ups.

Whattheheq · 27/06/2018 09:28

Megan isn’t a slag because of the number of boys she’s slept with, she’s a slag because she broke up 2 relationships (her and Eyal and WES and Laura), used Eyal, tried to pressure Wes into kissing her, didn’t even have the decency to talk to Laura and then smiled once she saw how much she had hurt Laura.

I couldn’t care less how many people Megan has slept with, she could have only slept with one person and still be the biggest slag in the villa.

tuckingfypo · 27/06/2018 09:28

I'd love it if they did a Big Brother style vote, vote for 2 Islanders who think they're being kicked off the island, but are in fact going to a secret villa and can watch everything happening with the other Islanders. Throw in some new guys and girls, wait a week and then send the evicted Islanders back in and watch the drama unfold Grin

I remember when BB did that one season, I think it was with Emma and Michelle (?), Michelle was seeing Stuart-it was hilarious watching their reactions to what went on in the house when the housemates thought they were evicted

BusterTheBulldog · 27/06/2018 09:33

NO NAKED JACUZZI!!!!

SoftBallSophie · 27/06/2018 09:38

We only got to see about 2 minutes after Laura and Wes had stopped talking (arguing)

We don't know if more girls got up to follow her when they realised she was upset, they hadn't had time to react before last nights show ended.

Shambu · 27/06/2018 09:39

she’s a slag because she broke up 2 relationships (her and Eyal and WES and Laura), used Eyal, tried to pressure Wes into kissing her, didn’t even have the decency to talk to Laura and then smiled once she saw how much she had hurt Laura.

Given that the label slag refers specifically to number of male partners this is all beside the point.

I don't think she used Eyal any more than he used her. They coupled up, spent a week together, and clearly didn't gel. They're both aware of that, Eyal commented in it himself. It's simply that Eyal was content to carry on regardless.

I'm not sure what Meg could have said to Laura. 'I'm going after Wes, hope you don't mind?' Laura would have kicked off and Meg wouldn't have known whether Wes was even likely to reciprocate. She needed to know how Wes felt first. Meg could have gone to talk to Laura then but Wes got in there first and dumped Laura which he has been dying to do for ages.

1happyhippie · 27/06/2018 09:43

buster 😂 I just read that line with a proper Geordie accent like Michelle lol.

I would like to see something different, I like the idea of sending a couple "home", to really be watching the villa from somewhere else. That could be interesting!
I'm not sure who will end up going home, especially as three couples now aren't even couples! I think Megan could spoil eyals chances here and they could be in the bottom, maybe with wes/Laura and Alex/Ellie.
I wouldn't care if Adam and Zara went home, I don't like him and she doesn't contribute much!
I do like Sam. But I'm not getting the Sam and samira thing. Don't think they are well suited, come across as mates just having a laugh.
Anyway, I will be watching tonight to see what's happened.

Moonkissedlegs · 27/06/2018 09:46

Megan isn’t a slag because of the number of boys she’s slept with, she’s a slag because she broke up 2 relationships (her and Eyal and WES and Laura), used Eyal, tried to pressure Wes into kissing her, didn’t even have the decency to talk to Laura and then smiled once she saw how much she had hurt Laura.

She was totally honest with Eyal - she obviously really fancied him, and said so to the other girls, and enjoyed having sex with him, but didn't think that their personalities matched up (I don't know quite what she is looking for: she is right that he is no Jim Carrey, but she is hardly bubbly and fun loving either is she?). But she told him the truth, whereas as Wes was totally spineless with Laura.

The rest of her behaviour was pretty Hmm but I said upthread that I actually quite admire her honesty in the whole thing (except with Laura I guess, but then what is she supposed to say 'Laura, I want to steal your man, just checking that's OK with you hun?')

Shambu · 27/06/2018 09:49

I do too. Far more balls than Wes. And I made the same point re chat with Laura - what could she possibly say?

Naty1 · 27/06/2018 09:50

I think laura may put her foot in it, i think it was her who got alex so riled up at ellie. She has a bit of a big mouth. So even though i think it's good she. can say what she thinks, she doesnt hold back even in things that dont concern her.
The boys arent going to like someone who calls them out.
She probably got most pies also because they had to pick someone and she is least liked/fancied/argues too much/older out of the girls so the boys wouldnt want to pie a potential. Plus at that point she seemed the most stable couple.

At least with Adam it was obvious about his behaviour. Megan seems to think nothing of changing her mind over nothing and needs someone else immediately. Her reasons for arguing with eyal were odd and to complain about his choice being georgia. Maybe she thought he liked G as much as she did wes.
Sex doesnt bring loyalty, almost seems the reverse.
And i do think L shouldnt have described Wes'es bits as that may have been the turning point.
Maybe next time she needs to say the guy is small

RainySeptember · 27/06/2018 09:53

I've realised that I just hate anyone who does the dumping, and always feel sorry for the dumpee. I dislike Adam, Ellie, Megan and Wes because they had the temerity to break up with people and make them sad. I wonder what a good break up would look like, one where I could forgive the dumper.

mooncuplanding · 27/06/2018 09:53

Megan made the decision on Eyal when he said he wanted to have fun “like the others”

She did not take that comment well AT ALL, which makes you think of classic narcissism....”do not criticise me EVER as o am the queen of the world”
She switched IMMEDIATELY after that comment.

Then her calculated preying of Wes alongside the smirking when Laura was clearly going to be hurt and upset...makes you wonder about her. And not in a good way. It’s almost like she used that situation to refuel her narcissistic beliefs about herself, prove she was still top dog.

RainySeptember · 27/06/2018 09:57

Yes Megan seems to be very sensitive to any perceived criticism. She didn't like Eyal implying she wasn't very fun, was furious when he guessed her number at 37, and was annoyed that he snogged Georgia in the game. I think she'll only accept total adoration, probably more adept at snaring a man than keeping one.

C4T5 · 27/06/2018 09:58

Jack and Dani as a couple are so boring. Like someone upthread said, they seem completely contrived as a couple. They have zero chemistry. I really hope they don't win, but unfortunately, it's looking like they will. Dani is certainly not as dumb as she acts. She's been trying to become a z list sleb for a while now and has no doubt studied reality tv shows and knows how to play the game to last as long as possible. Jack pretended that he didn't know who she was when he liked loads of her instagram posts before the show and knew exactly who he wanted to be with!

Goldmonday · 27/06/2018 09:59

Sorry can someone quickly summarise what happened in last nights episode? I've got in a pickle and am confused over whether I've watched it or not......

RainySeptember · 27/06/2018 10:01

You'd remember if you had Gold it was tres exciting!

tuckingfypo · 27/06/2018 10:02

@BusterTheBulldog such good memories Grin

Moonkissedlegs · 27/06/2018 10:07

Yes, Jack and Dani do need to spice things up if they are going to win, otherwise I think they might risk getting voted out near the end. They have been together since the very beginning, and always happy, but I'm not sure that will be enough to win. They need to argue and then get back together or something to give people something to root for, otherwise the public might get bored.

If another good couple get together and create interest towards the end, it could overshadow Jack and Dani.

Can I just say I am getting OBSESSED with this show and am absolutely loving the analysis on these threads! How sad am I?
