Anybody else watching it? I really want to like it but I am really not feeling it.

I enjoyed it a lot. The drip, drip of information about her DH’s affair seemed quite realistic, he was only admitting to the minimum. Affair AND coming onto Nina must surely be the end.

DH thinks hannah is a hypocrite as she shagged christie before the marriage and, before these revelations, has behaved inappropriately with him at work, all the personal conversations and so on. But I think, as a couple of PPs say, her cheating was many years ago and that the “statute of limitations’ (?) has passed!

The DC on the stairs and being snapped at was sad and brought back some bad memories for me. Sad

Unrealistic that every episode they cram so much into evenings - swanky outfit to change into kept at the office, work late, drink for work, home (and DC still up somehow), marital argument, out, back into central London!

I found tonight's episode very emotional. The kids being upset brought back some painful stuff for me too.

Gosh, that was all quite hard to watch. I love Nicola Walker though. Almost as much as DH does.

I didn't get a good enough look at the photo of the other woman and thought it was Christie's pregnant ex! Now that would have been a twist.

Ahh the old script, standard, admitted to what he thought he could get away with, what an idiot thinking a divorce lawyer wouldn't dig.

I can't believe Goldie went there again, I hope she took pictures and sent them back to whatshername.

I think she did it out of revenge. Believeable. I would’ve taken the £20m offer though, think could justabout survive on that. Might’ve made him stew a few days to “think it over” while the PI guy investigated the business doings though.

So I was wrong about Nathan. Might have guessed though that the scriptwriter would have to have the obligatory infidelity.

I felt really sorry for Hannah. I think Nicola Walker portrayed her hurt, pain and disbelief (not really the right word but I couldn't think of another one) really well. She is such a good actor.

Still really enjoying it in a gut wrenching kind of way. whispers this is the first thing I've seen Nicola Walker in and wow! Have just downloaded London Grammars Hell to the Liars. Perfect song choice.

Glad the stealing from the bridal shop has been sort of explained. That girl needs therapy of some kind. Hope the stand up guy doesnt mess her up more. Hope he is serious about what he said but as all the other men except Rose's guy are pratts i doubt it.

I love the slow burning Goldie storyline and the fact the producers cast two first class actors for the roles. I'm going to miss this when it finishes.
Any thoughts on Nina's comedian boyfriend? I think he really cares for her and the jokes are a smokescreen.

Was there something significant about the bottle of South African wine that Goldie and the ex were drinking? I just thought there was a lot of emphasis put on it. Does the unaccounted £10million have a SA link? Diamond mines or is that very far fetched?
Also I think Nathan is a complete cunt. All that stuff reminded me so much of an ex that I caught doing something similar. Exact same. He was 'just looking' at a site. Then he 'met someone but nothing happened'. You can guess the rest!

I think the more they dig they'll find something out that implicates her son too and she'll have to let it go. Hope not though.

I still don't fully understand the Dad situation. She sent him money? He wants more now? Why would she send money but not give the girls his letters/parcels? Did the Mum have an affair? I have no idea where I got this from but could it have been her female best friend? Is she ashamed? Feels guilty?

Slightly over invested perhaps here

I think she was banging on about not needing a male to run the business, make her happy, them against the world and was angry at him for abandoning the family and thought making him disappear from the girls lives was for the best etc but was embarrassed to admit she still loved him and was 'weak' in her eyes supporting him.
They are all very mixed up emotionally.

He was doing it practically non-stop in the first few episodes.

I think there is something in that, she said she had not 'missed' it. I think she knew it was special and that it would pique his interest and he'd come and see her with it.

I reckon he's trying to sell the business and the son knows, I'm sure I heard "£400m" mentioned, So, £20m is a drop in the ocean!

I reckon the dad is ill, we saw a scar last week and this week he was having breathing difficulties, that's why he needs money, no NHS in the US.

Have skipped the last few comments as I'm one behind, but wanted to mark place.

Christie is HAWT.
Stephen Mangan is wet.
James' 'hilarious' sniffle has worn very thin very quickly.
I love the clothes and the interiors (want to see more of Nina's flat).
I think Maya has left Oscar, possibly because of his health. He's skint because of divorce and/or surgery and healthcare.
Meera Syal is brilliant. Don't think I've seen her non-comedy acting before.

Rose and James are the weak link of this for me.

Poorly written subplot with little resonance to it, neither actor doing a great job but not much to go on with either
