Anyone watching? Might be worth a laugh!

Meghan has to look interested i guess - she probably really wants them to like her and accept her ( not being bitchy, but it must be daunting marrying into the firm.)

Vanilla Don't do it! GrinConfused

Yorkshirebetty · 23/04/2018 10:55

I thought the Queen looked like she was enjoying Shaggy's Mr Bombastic, she was nodding along. It's probably what she listens to when she's getting the gear on to open Parliament ("Mr Lubba Lubba") puts crown on

MartagonLilies · 23/04/2018 10:55

The80s I agree, it would have been a lovely idea.

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2018 10:57

Shaggy was entertaining to be fair and looked as if he didnt give a damn that nobody was singing along or seemed that interested. he was there to do his thing with Sting! I do like him though and i do like their song, even if this mash up is strange. Puts them both back in the spotlight, which is the point i suppose.

Can you imagine the Queen having a Shaggy song on a loop on her diamond encrusted i pod whilst the maid does her hair ' one does love a bit of Shaggy maid- reminds me of the 90s when everyone hated us' ..

God, why didn’t you tell me that there was MORE Staggy??!? Anyway, Queenie is on stage now and is shoving Charles forward. “Go on, you do it, right over there.” she said. He mutters back “0h well,” he mutters back, “better get on with the job.”

VanillaSugar · 23/04/2018 11:32

Oh, and in case you’re wondering about the HIp HIp HIp Hooray, that’s the 3 of the three cheers. The Royal Family always do this. It happened when I met Prince Andrew and we had to shout HIp HIp HIp then.

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2018 11:33

They did two songs - Sting is ' Rock Royalty' you know!

Kylie has gone all country on us now- they all do country music when they have really peaked and nobody cares anymore.

the hip hip thing does sound weird. us commoners do it wrong, of course.

Vanilla, a lot of folk on here would only have two words for Prince Andrew...

This was in 1993 when people still liked him!Grin

littlepill · 23/04/2018 12:53

If I were Dolly Parton, I'd be well pissed off with Kylie ripping her style! She was even upfront about it - went to a Dolly concert and thought she could sing in the same style. Urgh.

OMG yes, double-Staggy! It is soooo bad Grin "Big it up booga booga for the Queen's party!" Urghhhhhhh!!!

Craig David was equally cringey. OMG I think I need a lie down remembering it all!

littlepill · 23/04/2018 12:55

YorkshireBetty this is brilliant!

littlepill · 23/04/2018 12:56

Ahhh I love Shaggy too, really. He wasn't as stilted as the others!

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2018 13:43

The Queen also has to suffer ' the london palladium royal show' or whatever its called once a year - i bet she prefers the Edinburgh Tattoo ( if they still do it) as at least that has horses and military things going on. she seems happier with all that than Ed, Harry and Frank playing George Formby, even if he was one of her favourites! I really think she should be left alone and spared all this.

But attending this type of gobshite is how she earns the big bucks!

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2018 13:49

I know, but she's been doing it for 60 + years, she's paid her dues watching these acts! let the youngsters go and suffer it all.
