Rich / Poor divide this series.

How could they hog the shelter. Surely it wasn’t big enough it’s not like they weren’t squashed together. I would built my own rather than let them sleep outside on principle!!

Will be better show if they split up to be fair. Though surely by now it’s fore and shelter and food before sitting on ass and swimming!!

The nurse has the measure of the obnoxious GP. No doubt she's seen that behaviour before.

Both sides have behaved like arses, but Shereen really put their backs up.

To be fair, if you drowned Tan and Barnes then the posh group would be okay, even with Queen Shereen! In fact the bigger of the mouthy blonde ones can be fed to the sharks too and then the groups could probably combine in relative harmony.

What’s with all the horror movie trailers in the adverts

Usually there is some “middle ground “ types of people in both groups but this time it feels like they have gone for the more exaggerated extremes. Not liking it so far.

@MatchsticksForMyEyesReturns the Dr is an MoD Dr. She'll be treating people from all walks of life. And I suspect has just made her working life quite difficult by her comments.

They were meant to share the shelter but didn’t make it big enough. Obviously the rich group then got angry because clearly they deserve it instead even though I only saw Shereen and the poor lads building he shelter.

Think they've gone to great lengths to find people who fit into the negative stereotypes of posh and poor. You'd wonder if they are actors they slot in so well.

(Though i must confess to only seeing the last 15 mins!!)

The man with the glasses in the rich group really freaks me out.

It is a bit stereotypical but fascinating the way people split themselves into 'them' and 'us' groups so quickly.

It seemed like the rich group built it more as 2-3 other group didn’t help.

These type programmes they are always hopeless and half dead of starvation by end. The Bear can come out and point out the food was metres away!

They do have a point about team work and moral though.

I actually know Laura, the nurse on the 'poor' side. She's pretty middle of the road. isn't aggressive or lazy, hard worker and a nice lass!

That should say that she is a hard worker and lovely lass

Yes they always seem surprised that there are insects and no beds! Do they not watch all the other series before they leave? I think I would ace the firestarting thing at home all ready for when we arrived!

Hmm I suspect that each group already knew about the others via the production team, all seems rather staged to me to get maximum conflict to make "good" TV.

You'd know about there being 2 groups though just from previous series

Just sat and watched this with DD2. Both of us were amazed at how petty they were with the string.

Looking forward to next week.

Quite glad they split up, it should be interesting to see how they compare apart. The richer group were so obnoxious when they first met up but it was somewhat shady of the poor group to hog the shelter.
It's funny to see how quickly they divide along their group lines, I wonder if they'd be the same if they'd been sent into the island in two groups split up by sex
