cathcart, your dh is right, there are quite a few sites throughout the Lothians where you can see kingfishers. Have never seen one myself and am not a twitcher either but if he ever gets into another fight he can tell Oddie to get his backside up here - the river Avon has them to start with.

Dh's friend is a wildlife photographer, particularly feathery things.

Actually, on second thought, we'll send him a photo, don't want him heading this way.
