Do the HM including the 'celebs' still have to have the psychological evaluation type meetings prior to entering does anyone know??

I think they do - I remember reading once that Kerry Katona was supposed to be on it and the psychologists vetoed it as she was deemed too fragile.

B.B. has obviously done the face to face nominations inorder to keep IW in. People will be too scared to nominate them with is a shame. It would be a completely different place without IW.

My student DD and I have had quite a few discussions about Trans women over the past few months and she couldn’t understand my feelings and concerns towards radical Transwomen.

I’ve tried to stay on the periphery but I can’t, I’ve been drawn in. I wish they still had the psychology show on a Sunday night from the very early series - they’d have a field day analysing everything going on at the minute! It’s been a brilliant series so far!

When did Ann and Shane agree the makeover? I am working evenings at the moment so have to watch on catch up but seemed to have missed that.

Can't believe how easily I've been hooked back in - at least the episodes are short, I used to spend hours watching the live feeds!

I think originally Malika was going to do the makeover then it was suggested Courtney shd do it. Ann said she'd let her do it if she dressed like a lady instead of a tart!

Good article in the Mirror about last night 's shenanigans!

What I don't like about that article is that it sensationalizes Malika's reaction. What I saw was a woman, who was annoyed by the situation and who followed her own advice and removed herself. It was only after that she said her piece and quite rightly Ann responded with her quote about having a fear of heights, so she didn't go and stand on the precipice.

I think I answered my own question about Courtney/Shane up above. I didn't watch the first few episodes and had forgotten that although he went in as Courtney, he went in with the arrival of the male contestants.

So far regardless of any added value of the dual persona, I like Shane. He seems thougthful, measured and kind without taking any bull. I reckon he and the other Shane must be quite a dream to live with.

After my initial disappointment with IW being included in the all-female start to the program, I am feeling almost elated with how things have panned out and that everyone watching can see this ridiculous behaviour.

Also loving this thread! I was a BB/CBB addict for the first 6-8 years but stopped watching BB when it became full of wannabees (but still watched a bit of CBB). This CBB is much more like the older series; some really interesting characters and lots to discuss about them.

The reverend on BOTS last night made a excellent point that IW has had the male privledge of being listened to for the first 50 years of his life and now is finding it difficult/surprising to not be listened to as a (trans)woman.

I have a horrible feeling that the housemates won't be voting for IW in the face-to-face noms as they know it will all kick off with IW's fragility at any criticism. At least Dapper and his side kick should go up as they are easy noms for everyone else to make.

@SpeckleDust I also thought the Reverend Canon Ann made an excellent point and I'm so pleased she didn't demur from making it. I had to look her up and was surprised to read she is or was, the Queen's Chaplain and that she's the second woman to have been ordained a Church of England priest. I'd like to see her debate with Ann.

The most shocking thing on this thread has been finding out Shane/Courtney is 35!! He looks much younger.

IW is jealous, not afraid and I hate the fact that they are all to scared to tell the truth in case of backlash from the outside world and being called bigots and transphobic.
