Celeb Big Bro Thread 2 - Courtney's audition for the Bucks Fizz tribute act wasn't quite what they were looking for...

Yes, I know it is a shock to discover CBB celebrities famous for something other than being on other reality shows, but there are some in the house this year! It is a miracle!

Still no shopping lists, decent long-lasting tasks and lack of BB interference but we can't have everything can we?

PWBs - pull up a chair (from your favourite Oak furniture dealer), grab your snacks and get stuck in!

Oh what a lovely welcome. Thank you. :-) I stopped watching BB years ago as I got fed up with the tits, bits and drama. Started watching again because I was looking forward to learning something from it being an all 'female' house.
I like Ann, although I don't agree with many of her old fashioned and misogynistic views. At least she's honest and doesn't play to the camera. She's a people watcher and I think she reads people really well.

PositivelyPERF · 06/01/2018 23:41

I think India and Courtney will end up having a barney, as India won't be able to hide his jealousy. Courtney is getting the attention and admiration India craves and with Courtney changing from one persona to the other, it's like a visual reality that a man can wear the mask but never be a real woman. I think that reality is actually India's real phobia.

BeyondWW · 06/01/2018 23:42

I like Ann too. I don’t agree with any of her politics (I couldn’t actually disagree much more!) or her views, but I like how genuine she is.
And I love an older woman who just doesn’t give a shit! (As in it usually comes with age)

QueenLaBeefah · 06/01/2018 23:43

I like Ann too. I did not agree with most stuff she thinks but she is true to herself and doesn't buckle under pressure.

leccybill · 06/01/2018 23:43

Hello - used to frequent here a lot but stopped watching for a while after Perez.

Have to say I am loving this series. I thought I may not like Malika (I hate all things Kardashian) but she's just bloody great.
And Rachel too - she's a smart woman, I like her, and I thought I might not.
In fact, there's no-one I dislike really.

Dapper's quite the dickhead though isn't he.

Ffswtf · 06/01/2018 23:44

Another lurker delurking Wink I'm enjoying this series so far, liking the mixture of characters, backgrounds, ages, etc. I was interested in IW at first but the mememe attitude has completely turned me off. Liking Malika and Courtney/Shane at the moment. Missing BOTS tonight Hmm

Another lurker coming out on this thread because of India. I usually follow the CBB threads anyway but mainly lurk on the feminism boards

I think India is deeply homophobic. The attitude towards Courtney and drag queens in general I believe is because that is the true self of India, but he couldn't be a feminine gay man who loves to dress up in glitter and big hair due to his own deep rooted issues about homosexuality. His absolute refusal tonight to not accept that he no longer lives in the 'heterosexual world', as Courtney said, and is behaviour towards Genuwine (lunging for a hug and the insistence that he should be seen as a valid sexual partner to a heterosexual man) and constantly stating that he's a REAL WOMAN shows how uncomfortable he is with being seen as a gay man.
It will be interesting to see the dynamic between him and Wayne, who is openly gay but does not do 'woman face'.

Anyway, WTF was that behaviour towards Genuwine? India came across as a fucking creep. The man said he would not be attracted to a Trans but India tried to invade his personal space by trying to hug and kiss him. Bit perverted behaviour, don't you think?

I won't even start on the tit rubbing in front of the women. Sceams AGP to me...

Ffswtf · 06/01/2018 23:48

I was the same leccy, I was all set to dislike Malika and Rachel but I can't! I also find Ann refreshing. Don't agree with much of what she says but I appreciate her honesty and integrity

sausagebaconandtomatobutty · 06/01/2018 23:48

Why has Rachel started sucking up to IW?

More shit stirring on her part or is she afraid that IW might be getting lots of support and the trans activists will crucify anyone they deem to be anti trans?

busyboysmum · 06/01/2018 23:50

Another lurked delurking here 😁 my husband and I watched the breast rubbing thing in revolted amusement. Do you think there was anyone in the whole of the UK who found that in the slightest bit erotic? Was so odd. His poor son and mum. I feel so sorry for them.

guardianfree · 06/01/2018 23:51

Another lurker calling in to say how good it is! Like Positively I stopped watching years ago but this year is so interesting. 'Real' people' women (and men) with life experiences (go Maggie...) . And of course India.......
Male entitlement, self obsession and narcissism all rolled into one. And as for their vile comments about older women....

PositivelyPERF · 06/01/2018 23:51

Has anyone else noticed that Courtney is always referred to as 'she'? How long do you think it will be before India notices? I think it's because Courtney, so far, has come across as quite a nice person, whereas you can almost sense the male entitlement and dominance coming of India. No offence to all the decent men out there.

I like Malika too and I didn't realise she is a Cardasion (sp) Sorry. You can probably tell I don't watch reality programmes. :-D

CisCucumber · 06/01/2018 23:55

I am away for the night. Was forced to socialise and missed tonights episode
Please please can someone give me the night in a nutshell

guardianfree · 06/01/2018 23:55

I loved the women's faces when India was talking about breasts - not a clue that for many women they are erogenous zones - their faces were so Hmm . To India they're obviously just part of the 'makeup'

leccybill · 06/01/2018 23:57

Positively I think Malika is just a close friend of a Kardashian.

PositivelyPERF · 06/01/2018 23:59

Rachel creeping round India is pissing me ogf and I agree with you, sausage I think she's terrified of the transphobe accusations. She's starting to come across as a hypocrite. Ann doesn't give a shit.:-D

Haggisfish · 07/01/2018 00:00

Malika is a best friend to s kardashian, not actually part of their family. Loving this series so far. Yy to iw being homophobic and just such a twat. And dapper managed to undo any image reform in that diary room entry. Second knuckle deep-fucking foul. And arrongantly saying ‘don’t show that, by the way’, as if bb will somehow think ‘ooh, yes, he wants the public to think he’s gebuinely sorry, we had better edit that out’!?!

I think Rachel may just genuinely feel sorry for iw-I’d probably try and give a hug just because I’m a sappy sod who hates seeing others upset, even if it’s dntireky of their own doing! Will be interesting to see how it pans out. Loving loads of them so far, especially Shane, Courtney, and the others mentioned by everyone. I think Maggie deserves to win-public acknowledgement of what she tried to raise awReness of.

TheweewitchRoz · 07/01/2018 00:03

I enjoyed tonight's episode - loving Malika & all the women actually. Think IW is doing women a favour by showing that as much as you scream you're a woman, doesn't actually make it true. Also IWs hypocrisy is staggering with how ageist & homophobic she is & yet any little slight on her & she has a strop. (I did love BB making her give Ann her bed back!)

I like all the guys too except IW & Dapper. Should be good to watch.

How long does this series last? Is it 4 weeks? When's the first eviction?

PositivelyPERF · 07/01/2018 00:03

Thank you so much for putting me straight leccy. I can go back to feeling justified in my dislike of them.

No Cis. You will have to watch it as no explanation will do it justice. All I can tell you is India is a great spokesman for trans activists. :-D

CisCucumber · 07/01/2018 00:06

Aaaaaaahh

PositivelyPERF · 07/01/2018 00:09

tiffanysfanny · 07/01/2018 00:11

India should be asked if they would sleep with a drag queen. Grin
