Am glad my favourite won though I admit he wasn't the stand out winner tonight, it really was too close to call for me.
It seems odd that Karen is the one giggling around with Janette and dancing with Pashpot when (according to the tabloids) she is the one who has been seeing someone else. KFG looks done in.

Happy for Joe but wanted Debbie to win.

A slight aside - has anyone noticed how bloody Jeanette Manrara and Karen Clifton always manage to get themselves at the front whenever Claudia is doing her links in the dancers pod? They then proceed to try and be funny - gurning at the camera / doing stupid dances etc. I actually want to slap them!!!

I enjoyed the final and thought I didn't mind who won. When Joe was announced though I immediately felt disappointed. I thought Debbie danced much better than he did tonight.

I would actually say he should have bottom of the leaderboard and not Gemma.

I much prefer Jonnie Peacock with long hair, especially his man bun. I think it makes him much more attractive and sexy

I think D & G deserved to win tonight - but congrats to J & K. A super show all round, really enjoyed it all. Shirley tbf called it weeks ago when she highlighted Joe as the dark horse of the competition.

I'm beyond excited for the return of Dancing on Ice! I adore Torvill and Dean, and the show should never have been axed in the first place. Yes, it's not as good as Strictly but still entertaining and good fun.

This is exactly how I felt - although I really wanted Gemma or Debbie to win rather than Alexandra, I thought I didn't mind Joe winning but it turns out I did - he just wasn't stand out enough tonight.

I get a bit irritated by all this "Joe as the dark horse" - he's been the bookies' favourite for bloody weeks now, and he's performed in the West End, for heaven's sake. It's not like Ann Widdecombe won.

Would have liked D&G to win. Gio has done well with all his partners n it was really his time.
Gorka & Katya still new and Aljaz has won previously.

Nah. Crap result. Joe was just average Joe. All his dances looked like musical numbers. Debbie is wonderful, but not as natural as Alexandra, she has slight pauses in some dances and her show dance was all splits, lifts and baller. Although her Argentinian tango was the only one on Strictly that's ever resembled something I've seen in Argentina, wonderful. Gemma has improved massively over the series and done really well. But I think Alexandra was way better than the others.

It's a funny series. First time I've watched it, I only got into it because my mum was ill and I've been at her house a lot. Not sure I will next year. The final felt like a huge let down.

Just watched it after a looooooooooooong shift.

I was hoping for Gemma to win. Obviously that didn't happen.

Some little pinched smiles happened when the winner was announced though. Lots of wasp chewing for various bulldogs...

Why was Karen Hooer dancing with Pash instead of kfg? Has he promised to sort out her hair or something?

See what happens when the judges are taken out of the equation, they were obsessed with Alexandra & Debbie and could not see anything else past that, but the public thought differently and rightly.

Judges also didnt look very happy in the last few images of them in fact they all looked like they had been slapped with a wet kipper.

I Wanted Debbie to win from the first episode but Jo winning is fine because it meant Alexandra didn't.

I’d love to know who was second. I’ve really enjoyed Joe’s dances but felt he underperformed in the final. I was hoping Gemma might win on the night as I liked her show dance the most.

Alex had just edged it for me in the final and I gave slightly more votes for her tonight then even votes for Joe and Debbie. Joe had been my favourite throughout though. Gemma was lovely and I adore her, but a semi-finalist for me. Aston should have been in the final with them.

I think there should be a prize for the most improved, then Gemma would have won that.

Debbie's AT was the best dance of all, ever, but her Salsa was poor
Joe should not have won with his floppy, unpointed feet and his outfit and dance in the VW was pathetic. His Charleston and the music was very entertaining and crowd pleasing and won it for him I reckon - and his cuteness, of course.

I think that Joe winning it left the girls level with each other.

I agree about Joe's first dance on the night, it looked like a week 4.

I'm going back to watching Danny and Oti re-runs, much more fun. I've never watched DOI but might give it a try!

I've wanted joe to win since week one so I'm happy and I think it shows that the public don't always want the best technical dancer to win. they want someone who comes across as down to earth, try hard and likeable so both Gemma and Joe fitted that box. The endless fawning of the judges over Debbie and Alexandra turned a lot of people off. I am really glad neither of them won

I was pleased for Katya more than Joe because of he great choreography and brilliant attitude to Ed last year.

None of the final dances were amazing though - I remember gasping last year. I felt like Joe's dance last week with the Matrix lift was more showstopping than anything this week.

I thought they would announce 4th first before a final dance and announcement. Had I got that from another show? Have they always had all 4 lined up for the big reveal?

SCD always ends each episode in chaos, not least the final. They need to find a better solution.

Delighted for Joe !!!!!I agree with comments above, the public like to see someone who is not always the absolute perfect dancer but someone who tries incredibly hard and loves the sheer joy of dancing Joe improved so much over the weeks although I would have loved to see the dance from Cabaret dance rather than the toy soldier as this for me was the one dance where I thought he really has a chance to win!
Debbie and Alexandra were fantastic too they are just so good to watch and Gemma danced the best she has ever danced, but so pleased for katya her choreography is amazing.
On another note . I saw they paired karen dancing with Pascha I take it that means it is really over for kevin and karen and I know I don't know them but I've watched them dance together for so long it made me feel really sad watching it.
