Worth starting grey's anatomy?

Never watched an episode in my life and have absolutely no idea what to watch. Is it worth starting from the very beginning?

(I'm up with a poorly baby and likely to be the second night of sofa cuddles)

Also open to other suggestions I have Netflix and sky box sets. I love crime documentaries and dramas like The good wife, Luther, House, happy valley, silk, etc.

I liked Private Practice but DH didn't. Too slow for his liking, I think. We both love Greys though.

I’m a bit late to this party but hell yes, watch it. in fact I think the first series Miles miles better than series 11 onwards. I buggered my knee, had weeks post op recuperating doing nothing and my sister suggested it, I binged watched for weeks whilst laid up, it saved me in one way but didn’t in others (I got very lazy as I just had to watch the next episode).

On maternity leave waiting for baby and have watched up to the most recent episode. My dh always happens to show up on the sofa for the most dramatic episodes, usually the season finale... so where someone dies or something explodes.

My husband always turned up when the sex/kissing scenes were on.. started to wonder what I was watching I think

Think I'm on episode 9. I keep trying to usher DP to bed so I can watch it in peace - the only thing he watches is horror films and 'How it's made'. Odd being!

I'm so jealous! We started at the beginning in May and we're totally caught up now-it's so painful waiting for the next episode each week!!

Big Grey's fan, but I loved Private Practice even more. I think it's more grown up.

I love Greys, especially the early years. I like the fact that the lead is flawed and often unlikeable. Love Christina, couldn't stand Izzy though, she was so bloody sanctimonious. I've cried so much watching it and the music is amazing. Jumped the shark a bit now but still very watchable. I like Private Practice too because I love Addison.

oh the music - I've found so much great music because of Grey's.

I struggled through 8 seasons but I just found it so tedious

Binge watching it now. Can also recomend How to get away with Murder also from Shonda Rhimes. Absolutely love the season finals and the musical one. Go for it. Mcdreamy and mcsteamy await you.

Have baby, am binge watching! Currently on season 5, and right at this moment in my living room, McSteamy has his shirt off. Life is good!

I'm watching it for the 3rd time from the begining.

DH likes it but thinks I'm crazy.

Outnumbered - me two! Watched it for the first time about 2 years ago and now it's my go too! Love a bit of vintage Greys!

Greys from the beginning is awesome. I often fo back to season 1 and watch the whole thing again!

Watch the first 10 seasons their brilliant and I would personally stop after that as it went downhill sadly.

Also once upon a time and Brooklyn 99 I recommend.

OMALLEY DIES?!??

Why, why, why, why did none of you tell me not to start this utter shite. O'Malley is dead. Izzie is fucking alive. And O'Malley is dead. I cannot deal. I need to go to bed but I need George to perform a miracle and wake up just before organ donation.
Why did Lexie give us false hope? I'm so angry with every single one of you that told me to start this utter tripe!

Well it's now his funeral. No miracle happened here. Izzie survives, Meredith came back after 14938337 gazillion minutes of being 'down' but George didn't pull through this?

I'm only on episode 1 series 6, so no spoilers further than that please!

Greys anatomy is brilliant, Cristina yang is one of the best characters in any series I have seen
