Just read the first article I've seen about the January CBB - apparently they are starting off with all women.

Didn't they do this before or has reality TV made me imagine things?

Will anyone be watching this time???

I have to say that despite the wannabees this is the most "Celeb" CBB in years! Look at the actual famous people who have actually done something in there:

Amanda Barrie
Wayne Sleep
Ann Widdicombe
Rachel Johnson
John Barnes
Shane Lynch
Maggie Oliver

I would actually recognise these people (except Maggie) in the street.

I suggest you join if you aren't already on it just to follow CBB tweets or tweets about CBB

I don't care if it was a man, a woman, someone transgender, someone who considered themselves a gender fluid person or whatever.

All I saw was a someone being a nasty bastard to a pensioner.

You may feel you are a 'real woman' IW but you are seriously failing at being a real human being. HTFH.

Courtney has said that since she hasn't been socialised as a woman, she won't pretend she understands completely. As long as you try and you're not being malicious, she's not too worried about which pronoun comes out or if you call her Shane/Courtney at a particular time.

To be fair to India, Courtney hasn't actually transitioned, including having her 'willy lopped off', so Im not surprised she is rather more relaxed about things than India!

Yes I'm not sure what India was looking for from Amanda.

I guess she thought Amanda would be really grovelly and begging for mercy for her unforgiveable misgendering and would then be really lovely to India to make up for it.

Amanda's simple, 'I said the wrong thing and apologised, but that's all I'm doing, no bullshit' has thrown India who, as someone else said, has had way too much smoke blown up her arse simply because they are trans.

Oh, actually I was going to comment on IW etc. A few people have said they had an issue with her/him being in the house at all. A few others have said they can't understand the hatred and that preconceived ideas are clouding their judgement.
Well, I didnt know who she/he was at all until a day or two before CBB started. Never ever heard of IW. I was completely meh about the biological makeup of IW and was totally fine that CBB was adding trans into the mix.
HOWEVER having seen the way IW is behaving, I am honestly disgusted.

Yelling at an 82 yr old who very graciously apologised for a slip of the tongue.
Yelling "misgendered" around ALL. THE. TIME.
Making out that Ann was being completely unreasonable re the bed situation. Yet Ann was actually totally fine about it all, and didnt do or say anything arsey.
Making faces behind Ann's back.
Making everyone terrified to speak in case they're accused of being phobic.

Frankly, I think IW has deliberately set out to cause a stooshie that results in someone being thrown out for being a hater/phobic, to further IW's cause and career. I also thing CBB hoped that would happen. But it's backfiring spectacularly, IMO.

yes totally, Thehairthebod IW had no clue what to do when Amanda apologised then got the upper hand. CBBBOTS was good, as Eamonn etc all rationally said that they understand IW's point to an extent but she should have just accepted the apology and moved on, as nothing was said maliciously.

Nobody has mentioned what they think about the diary room chair - I really like it, I like the way that I think lots of people can sit, in a group, on all the different levels at the same time to talk to BB

what do you think they are talking to?

Does anyone know - is it a camera lens or something else like a mirror or a cartoon picture of BB or the EYE?

Chilly a couple of times previously we've seen them go off on one and knock over/break the camera they are talking to. It looks like it's literally a camera on a tripod/wall-mounted that they are talking to, must be really weird.

And yes, the chair is great - I wonder how the psychology behond it works, ie the ones who feel in charge will either sit in the main seat or on a higher position when a few of them go in...

Paul o Grady never shied away from the fact that he was male and lily was his character.
I think he led the field there. Danny La Rue was a female impersonator but I don’t remember him ‘adopting’ a specific character.
I like to use humour in most situations and I think a humourous retort from IW would have gone a long way to have sorted the situation out and smoothed it over.

However , if it was done deliberately and repeatedly...then that’s a whole new ball game and then it’s time for B.B. to haul the perpetrator into the diary room.

What I saw was bullying and it was nasty and made for uncomfortable viewing.

You misgendered me...that's not going to get tiresome at all, day in day out . Amanda apologised sincerely, India should have accepted and shut up then.
I hope that others are not afraid to vote to evict India, just as they would vote to evict anyone else.

Should be a good series overall. There are actually people who can be described as celebrities in there. That hasn't been the case for some time.

the conversation about the bust up they almost ALL refer to IW as he. When they aren't there to hear it.

I suppose for IW, if you are in a bubble of people confirming they see you as a woman/lady then it will come as a shock when others don't stand on ceremony.

Also interesting that they talk about the performative nature of IW's responses.

The comments on the CBB page are similar the ones here by the way. It seems that C5 and IW are showing the fox in a hen house and it's spectacularly backfiring.
