For me the trousers need to be longer, even if they only reach halfway down the boots - Matt Smith's trousers had the "too short" look but they were only by a few inches and, to me, looked fine. The rest of her outfit falls into quirky territory, the trouser length is just wrong. And impractically chilly!
I prefer the outfits of the other re-boot doctors. Tom Baker was perhaps the last decently dressed traditional doctor.
