Can I say that I like Chris B - not the one who was ousted last night...

OP posts:
lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:02

Gay??!!! No no no no no no.
Someone said they wouldn't just want to chat with him anyway, then you said Lee's a bit like that.
i thought you meant that, when he's with a lady, he's not so much into the chatting as other things iyswim.
I'm probably barking up the wrong tree or misinterpreting crossed posts

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:02

I have just spent two and a half hours catching up on this thread, and have had to lie to dh saying that I've been doing accounts rather than reading this and dribbling over the keyboard whenever Lee is mentioned

I've not actually seen the final yet as I don't actually have tv reception so my Mum has been videoing the show and posting them to me.

Lyra, what is this video you are referring to?

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:03

I reckon they could all get a bit of Panto this year.

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:03

Craig will be working - as a pub singer

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:05

Oggsfrog, he's recorded Any Dream Will Do, which will be released as a single for Children in Need. he was shooting the video yesterday and i think it's going to be released in the next week or so. Can't wait!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:06

I thought the he's 'only an understudy' and he'd performed in front of 'hardly anyone at all' was a bit disingenuous. He was understudying a big role which meant he did have to do a main part when the main person was at the dentist or whatever.

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:07

Oh , thought it might be a video compilation of all the songs he did on the show.

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:08

Oh I see Lyra, yes crossed posts but we can live in hope!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:09

I can see Rob as a singergram (is that what you call them?)

LIZS · 11/06/2007 13:12

It was interesting to see them all doing the Boys are Back in Town , really showed up the weaker ones and those trying too hard to impress imho

DumbledoresGirl · 11/06/2007 13:17

Were the weaker ones the ones who went out early though? Cos if they were, perhaps what it showed was not so much how weak they were so much as how mauch training the ones who stayed in longer have had.

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:17

Some of them really were rubbish singers weren't they? but the finalists had been working with Zoe for a lot longer so maybe showed them up because they're now so good. I thought Rob was bloody awful on Satuday but i loved seeing the others.

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:18

x post DG

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:18

I will have to watch that again LIZS, I was a bit cross eyed with my Saturday Joseph night white wine by then (only it was Sunday!)

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:18

Hmmmmmmm

If say, you had a super-duper broadband connnection, and a super-duper computer with a super-duper cd/dvd writer would it be

a) possible
b) legal
c) sad to even be thinking about it

to download the youtube videos onto a cd-r/dvd thus creating a Leefest????

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:20

If you figure it out, I'll do it too, legal or not!
I think it's possible to download some youtube videos but no idea how.

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:22

Sadder than spending ALL morning discussing Lee you mean?

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:28

Sadly I have neither a super-duper broadband connnection nor a super-duper computer with a super-duper cd/dvd writer

I do have a super-crappy dial-up connection (can't get broadband here in the middle of nowhere), and a super-basic computer without a super-duper dvd writer

I'm also crap with computers.

I was hoping that I might find somebody else who has both the equipment and the capability...

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:30

Berrie...even sadder.

I haven't even spent all morning discussing Lee......I've spent all morning reading about other people discussing him

beansprout · 11/06/2007 13:31

It seemed pretty clear to me that Zoe did not want Lee to win. She was consistently the most negative about him and really didn't look that chuffed on Saturday. Her comment to Keith about Scotland's loss being the West End's gain made her views pretty clear.

What do you lot think?

lyrabelacqua · 11/06/2007 13:33

Ah, now I do have broadband and a super dooper-ish computer with a dvd writer so I'll give it a try tonight.

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:33

Absolutly! Silly cow!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:34

I was always wondering how much of it was staged as we went through the competition, so as not to appear to give Lee a too easy ride but you're right she looked really mardy!

Berrie · 11/06/2007 13:37

oggs frog, I spent weeks just reading this thread before I just had to butt in, I knew I would find it too hard not to gossip. I was doing really week until today as well!

oggsfrog · 11/06/2007 13:44

Oh Great and Wonderful Lyra, if successful in this mission, would'st thou (for a reasonable fee obviously) kindly consider doing one for me too? huh?

Berrie, I've been studiously avoiding the thread as I've only actually seen up to the show before the one when Craig gets the push.

But I had a dream last night, and it drove me back here
