Can I say that I like Chris B - not the one who was ousted last night...

OP posts:
crunchie · 19/05/2007 23:06

true smutti I honestly thoug Seamus, Daniel and Lee would be in teh final from teh get go. NONE of the others can touch Lee now, I wouldn't pay money to watch any of the others.

Craig is a sob story waiting to happen
Lewis is OK but needs 5 years to mature
Keith great voice, hate everything else about him
Ben nuff said bland bland waste of space

LEE TO WIN!!!!

Diege · 19/05/2007 23:06

Yes, don't get the Craig thing at all...summer season at Blackpool anyone? Did snigger when GN almost said 'Craig' in the sing-off when introducing Daniel

Rubineski · 19/05/2007 23:06

Sorry to butt into this one. But have been watching for a while and, once I saw 'Shameless' mentioned, I had to have my say.

I'm sorry, he did look the part but he was such an arrogant guy! Esp when he said that stuff at the end about it being a conspiracy. I mean, come on! The whole world does not revolve around you, mate!

Sorry, been waiting to get that out. Missed my last therapy session.

binkleandflip · 19/05/2007 23:07

Actually, mrs p tries to seduce joseph, not the other way round, so it was truly gratuitious!

DumbledoresGirl · 19/05/2007 23:08

He doesn't actually seduce Mrs Potiphar. It is Mrs Potiphar who sees the potential in him. Joseph, as a good, god-fearing OT hero, responds to her come-on "I don't believe in free love!"

So all that seducing of DVO was completely irrelevant to the show. We should have seen her trying it on with them (or maybe not, come to think of it!)

luciemule · 19/05/2007 23:09

in the sing off I thought Lewis looked like he was constipated and Daniel gave a great, emotional, well worthy of a part in Les Mis, performance. Certainly looked as though ALW just wanted him out as he said something really neg earlier on this evening and I thought Daniel won't stand a chance if he reaches the sing off as ALW doesn't want him in.

crunchie · 19/05/2007 23:09

binkleandflip it is really really hard to get cast as an unknown in a lead role. NOONE puts on a new musical and then casts an unknown (bar via this TV show) usually you might get an unknown starting as an understudy (like Lee) and going through teh ranks.

My Dh got down to the last 2 for the Big Bopper in Buddy, but missed out as he had no experience in the West End

Diege · 19/05/2007 23:10

Rubineski. He's actually a really nice guy in real life, not at all like he came across on TV...lol at 'Shameless'

DumbledoresGirl · 19/05/2007 23:10

Rubineski, agree with you totally, but you know there are some women out there who find arrogance in men a BIT turn on (oh OK then, just me )

binkleandflip · 19/05/2007 23:11

But surely as an understudy to the principal you've kind of reach the top of the ranks already (bar one rung so to speak)?

Rubineski · 19/05/2007 23:11

Hi Diege,

Sorry! You know what it's like. You only see what's edited onto the screen. They do try and label each one of them - ie. he was 'not the team player', the scottish one who always looks half asleep is 'not a man' and lee is "soooooooooooo scrummy'. (personal opinion, that one).

DumbledoresGirl · 19/05/2007 23:11

That should say BIG turn on obviously.

Diege · 19/05/2007 23:12

Not just you Dumbledores girl. Shall I take Seamus and you can have Ben? Is that fair?

dotcom · 19/05/2007 23:12

TRAGIC TRAGIC TRAGIC!!!

I AM SOOOOO UPSET and might not bother watching the rest of the show now.

How creepy Craig and Keith and OK Ben could have come first over Daniel I WILL NEVER KNOW!

I wouldnt pay to watch any of them and I am really cross.

It has to be Lee to win now.

Keith is bleurgh and his voice is powerful but weird.

crunchie · 19/05/2007 23:12

Oh yes course Mrs P does teh seducing. But old Joe still has to look worthy of seducing and who would want to shag keith??

Smutti · 19/05/2007 23:12

Rubineski, I totally agree about Seamus' arrogance; couldn't stand it (and tho' I didn't see it, was appalled to learn of what he did on his final exit - v unprofessional) BUT - this is not a personality competition - if it were we'd all be gunning for little Keithy Weithy - and Seamus was extremely talented. IMO he should have stayed a lot longer. So there.

DumbledoresGirl · 19/05/2007 23:13

Ben? I spit upon your offer. Ben is probably only just out of night nappies. Do you know Seamus in real life then Diege?

Diege · 19/05/2007 23:14

Long time ago, uni days - nothing remotely exciting to report (unfortuantely)

Rubineski · 19/05/2007 23:15

Ben reminds me of that guy everyone had at school (well, sort of, i went to a girls' school, but you know what I mean). He had the looks, the charm, always got the lead roles and the girls.

He's due a fall.

Might have noticed, I DON'T like the arrogant (seeming) ones.

God, this is awful. These wee lads are all someone's son. Sorry, pushy mothers, out there! (says she, who took her three year old to Jigsaw drama/dance/music class today).

Smutti · 19/05/2007 23:17

Rubineski - you're absolutely right about them being someone's son. That's what stopped me typing comments about pixies.

Smutti · 19/05/2007 23:17

oops

DumbledoresGirl · 19/05/2007 23:18

Ben is so young I dont even see him as arrogant. He comes across to me as a school boy. I bet he is a shining light in his school plays, but a star of the West End stage? Purlease.

Diege, oh I was not after gossip. I just wondered if he had cashed in on his time on Joseph as he was in the audience last week and looked pretty pleased with himself.

Smutti · 19/05/2007 23:19

Just wondering if anyone else thinks Lewis' facial expressions are a little odd, when singing? I bet he was fought over in his local productions... but West End material?

binkleandflip · 19/05/2007 23:20

My 5 year old dd is frighteningly obsessed with Ben, she will not hear a word against him - we went to see Joseph last weekend and she is well into it all at the moment.

Diege · 19/05/2007 23:21

Lol Dumbledores! If I can gossip I would spill, lol! We have exchanged the odd e-mail since the show, and he is doing a Jeff Buckley tribute thing soon which should be fab . He says he really missed performing in the show after being in the audience and has a high opinion of Rob the bulider apparently!
