This is the best thing I have ever seen.
Dolly on helium was my highlight so far.

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 16/09/2017 19:53

Turnofthescrew I agree it's awesome.

CotswoldStrife · 16/09/2017 19:53

Oh dear. This isn't going well. Even my Little Mixer is not enjoying this one.

Blackandpurple · 16/09/2017 19:54

Ive just tuned in.

What the fuck? Heard better in a pub karaoke.

Raahh · 16/09/2017 19:54

How was that even remotely like Madonna?

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 16/09/2017 19:54

loving Madge struggling to remember the choreography

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 16/09/2017 19:54

But the shiteness is what makes it so good.

LittleWitch · 16/09/2017 19:55

Sorry, we've turned over Grin.

KurriKurri · 16/09/2017 19:56

Bless you MrsHandles - my education is complete Grin

troodiedoo · 16/09/2017 19:56

They should be paying us to watch it really.

I think the Dolly/George may win it for him, but it should be Whitney really.

MrsHandles · 16/09/2017 20:00

Well I for one will be watching again next week - so shit it was good

troodiedoo · 16/09/2017 20:07

You won't @handles because strictly will be on then. Think this was a one off?

raisedbyguineapigs · 16/09/2017 20:19

Why were there so many tribute acts if they only used 10 or so of them? I was quite looking forward to David Bowie. Although if that dodgy Prince guy had gone on to murder a song, i'd have put my foot through the telly! Surely it should be called ' not quite as food as the real thing'? Whitney was quite good, but she was never going to have the range of the real thing, or she would be an actual singer!

troodiedoo · 16/09/2017 20:20

Paddy said "see you again soon" which makes me hope think it was a standalone show.

MrsHandles · 16/09/2017 20:32

Aww, well that's disappointing. Pilot show to see how it does before releasing the rest of the series, perhaps?

KurriKurri · 16/09/2017 20:50

I love a looky-likey show, there was one on a few years back which had a Tom Jones who looked more like Fred West - seeing him sing 'It's not Unusual' was pretty surreal Grin

Figgygal · 16/09/2017 20:57

On catch up
Whitney and George were good
In fact Whitney is wasted being a tribute act

Maudlinmaud · 16/09/2017 21:19

We're catching up. I love this. Pure cheese. I hope this is going to be an actual thing and not a one off. It's brilliant. Give me this anyday over xfactorGrin

SESthebrave · 16/09/2017 21:36

We loved it - so cheesy!

Agree that Whitney and a George were the best. We were hoping George would win.

I think it's something the BBC have recorded a few of (hence more acts there for other episodes) so they can fill a gap in the schedule when needed such as tonight's Strictly gap.

troodiedoo · 16/09/2017 21:38

Does anyone remember that one a few years ago it had amateur acts on and had a ginger Lionel Ritchie and dusty Springfield on? That was great.

Maudlinmaud · 16/09/2017 22:12

How does this work? Do these people get told they look like the famous person and then practice sounding like them? Some of them looked quite similar. It can't all be wigs and make up, I mean the botoxed Elvis was unreal. Nose job?
