I used to love the threads on this when I was pregnant in 2015! I've just sat down and it's back on. Lots of tears this time I think. Mum not happy. Sad

I bet he never joins her! It was so mean if him to promise to go back with her then not do it. I felt so sorry for her.

He kept moaning about lwving his family yet he'd made her do that! N acknowledgment at all about that.Hmm

*no

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 09:21

Today's family seem nice but good luck in getting her to change her mind

troodiedoo · 22/08/2017 09:23

Oh blimey! Maybe he wants to move to get away from her sister.

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 09:32

Two lovely properties so far.

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 09:33

Both houses over budget though. First house should of been under budget to give them a better idea.

SelfObsessionHoney · 22/08/2017 09:37

I don't understand why they show them houses so much over budget. £150k over is just ridiculous.

Twickerhun · 22/08/2017 09:38

50% over budget for the third house - that's not 'a bit' of a stretch Confused

Androidsdreamofelectricsheep · 22/08/2017 09:48

This has been on before. I think they went.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 22/08/2017 10:15

They show over budget because the programme makers know their wages are going to be much more, then in the UK.

LIZS · 22/08/2017 10:18

Yes according to wdu fb page, they went but eventually relocated to the Gold Coast.

Hillingdon · 22/08/2017 15:36

I wish they had the occasional more professional couple so that the budget for a house was upped. I am rather fed up of seeing hairdressers, social workers, etc with small budgets.

What about 2 doctors or a vet and something professional.

SingingTunelessly · 22/08/2017 16:52

Hillingdon, I agree with you but maybe if you've got a good salary and lifestyle in the UK you don't think about moving to the other side of the world away from family and friends? Could be why they don't apply. Smile

Years ago if I remember correctly you used to be able to get a lot more house in Australia then you got in the uk so families that had a regular semi in an average town with gloomy weather in the uk could get a roomy property with a pool for the same money in Australia .
Things have changed now. Property is just as expensive in Australia as it is over here. The program had a lot more wow factor about it years ago.

Androidsdreamofelectricsheep · 22/08/2017 18:21

Or maybe more professional couples just do it themselves. I worked with a woman married to a doctor and he got a 1 year contract in NZ just to see how they liked it. Four years later I can't see them coming back.

wotabastard · 23/08/2017 09:20

Those kids looked a cheery bunch at the airport. Grin

ssd · 23/08/2017 09:27

god the teenage dd....

TwitterQueen1 · 23/08/2017 09:29

yes ssd - definitely a free holiday. I can't see this ending up with a vote for NZ

ssd · 23/08/2017 09:33

actually I'm feeling sorry for the mum and dd, why does the dad want to move so much when they obviously dont? and why didn't he just google homes on NZ and he'd know some of the prices, he's shocked at something he should already know.

ssd · 23/08/2017 09:35

100,000 over budget...why show them this??
