Not sure when the next one will be announced, just hope it's not like last year where they dragged it out for weeks!

Just saw the red carpet clip on the news looks a decent bunch i like them all. Dd clapped like a demented seal when she saw Johnnie Peacock in his sparkles she is vv v excited 😀 will rev richard dance in his dog collar every week ?

Alexandra Burke's mum (Soul II Soul singer) has passed away. Alexandra will still continue in SCD as her mum loved the show. :(

Everyone looked amazing on the red carpet yesterday. Nice to see new dancers and a new judge. Gives the show a refreshed vibe. But still plenty of the old faces to keep it familiar.

Bit fed up of seeing pics of Mollie King strutting and posing.....I think she is desperate to be noticed.

Hello all! I have been lost in a no network hell for 5 days the new forest so have missed much!

I will do an update on the twitter follower graph tomorrow given that there has now been the formal red carpet announcement and we'll see if much has changed.

cave I agree on Despacito as a track we'll see used. I was at a wedding at the weekend and myself and my very wonderful former pro dancer friend did an impromptu cha-cha/salsa hybrid dance to it. So it's defo do-able even for inebriated amateurs

In fairness to Mollie, lots of pics were taken of everyone but the press seemed to like hers in particular.

Was Kissing Strangers a big hit in the UK? DD thinks this for a cha cha or pro routine.

How sad for alexandra. I hope she finds joy in dancing and the producers don't make her journey all about doing it for her mum.
Still 10 days to go until the launch show! This bit really drags between the contestants being announced and the dancing actually happening!

ok... So here is a graph showing the new figures alongside the old figures. As you will see this is a rubbish graph. This is because in relation to the original figures the changes are quite small so don't show up well on this kind of graph.

I'm working on a better graph though so if you'll all just hold on two ticks you'll see something far more fabulous

Ok, so I've taken the figures from the end of when the contestants were all anounced and also the figures from today. This graph shows only the INCREASE in followers for each of the contestants, not their overall follower figures. It probably makes most sense to stick to using these figures as that way we can see what impact Strictly is having and who is gaining fastest.

Periodically, maybe every 3 weeks during the show I will do another totals chart in case anything fun happens.

P.S hope this one is a bit more spangly in the Strictly way of things

yep Susan has gained the most followers, Aston, Alexandra and Charlotte have not gained at all. (although obviously twitter rounds the figures so they may have in fact gained a few but not enough to make their visible figures change)

The will be marvellous. I just hadn't realised I had booked it for THE Saturday in September tsk. The iplayer sometimes irritates me, I will record and watch in a booze haze when I get in. I'm sure it will jut mean I see extra sparkles.
