The bit in the coach when Catherine was on her way home made me lol - with the 3 yokels staring at her, and the woman stroking the neck of the goose.

Oh yes, and whoever said lots of heaving bosoms was pretty correct - some of those dresses looked very low cut (and the bodices).

I did find myself thinking even my rather modest bosoms would look very presentable in one of those dresses

Must step away from thread but am pinioned by fleeting mentions of Rupert Penry-Jones as Wentworth next week [drool]. No, pah. He is but a pretty boy...
We watched The Trap (how I love a good conspiracy theory documentary) so I have videoed the bosoms for later viewing.

Yes - Rupert P-J definitely too young, but will be fun to watch and drool.

His idea of life-changing disappointment is finding his cappuccino's gone a bit flat, I bet...not much substance I will have to watch extremely carefully to see how far he falls short of the Hinds Standard

Well I loved this, after loathing mansfield Part. Thought Henry Tilney was lovely; I believe he's supposed to be "nice" rather than gorgeous and I realy liked whoever played Catherine too - pretty, young, naive - just right.

Rupert PJ is rather yummy but agree that he seems a bit too young....actually thinking about it he probably isn't too young ..it's that I am getting old.

how old is he? (I'm sure he's not too young )

Jackie, that dress is straight out of Northanger Abbey! - it's even the right colour!

He's actually early 30s I think but in repose has a pretty-boy petulance about his undeniable good looks. We are talking about the man from Spooks, are we?

I just googled Penry-Jones. He has his own website with the most hysterical picture on his homepage. He looks very self-satisfied and like he has nits and is giving his head a good scratch.

I kept thinking he reminded me of Damon Albarn.

I am just not surprised at that bit of info re RPJ's website, somehow. And he is heading for Melvyn Bragg type hair issues in later life I feel

I really enjoyed Northanger Abbey tonight. Thought Catherine was just right, though Henry Tilney was maybe a touch lacklustre for my taste. Does anyone know what Northanger Abbey actually is IRL? I saw it was filmed in Ireland but though Irish myself failed to recogise the building.

I really liked this one. Much better than Mansfield Park. Catherine a little annoying but I think she was very well done in her little girl naivety. Loved Henry. Yum.

Worried about Persusian next week. Anne's hair! Eek.

It's been bugging me where I know Rupert P-J from - and having looked at the website that foxinsocks mentioned I now know - it's from the David Tennant Casanova.
