Bet the accent was German. Am German myself and would recognise it anywhere . God, weren't they awful?? And no, I don't think Kevin liked them one bit..

too much moeny and no taste!..loved the veiw, but everything else was bordering on tacky, hated the glass staircase and WTF!..that was supposed to be a library??!!..it was a very expensive bookcase!

the decking area looked beautiful with its view BUT did you see the gale blowing up there? I don't reckon they will get much relaxing sun bathing done up there

Do you think this week's couple will be v pissed off about the way they are portrayed by the programme?
Kevin is so 'I told you so' at the end and really quite rude about it.

And it really annoyed me that the bloke refused to admit they had made a mistake by not putting the temporary roof on. Arse.

Someone linked from last week's GD thread to a Kevin article that said that something they had differently this series was to have more projects he felt negative about. So, yes.

Presumably programme makers trying to up the conflict levels to make more exciting programmes

I just love it when Kevin slags people's precious projects off and says things like "This build is beautiful - and yet with your disastrous choice of conservatory, the effect is ruined. Ruined!" to their faces. He's so sexy - but we watched some old shows from series 1 recently and he's definitely improved with age. He has great clothes too. Drroool..

Now did anyone see that Chaos at the Castle thing last night on Channel 4. Now that really was car crash TV. Absolutely hilarious (I like a good laugh at someone else's expense - have you noticed? )

He was SO unimpressed with them, wasn't he? As for them not putting right the other flats before they twatted theirs to the nines (or do I mean tarted?)

Lovely finish (I mean quality of items, not taste), but totally ill-considered layout and design.

Kevin makes me larf!

Much better than the barge bloke (that was a disaster not worthy of GD's) but I didn't love it this week.

Too many little rooms in the apartment and didn't like the porthole windows. Lovely views though and as there didn't seem to be children as a factor, the rooms should've been really big and airy imo.

Hated the coloured lighting in the dome..no no no! El cheapo night club look.

I missed the Castle one - I wish I'd seen that.

The couple were an odd pair weren't they - I would never have placed them together.

so glad to hear all your comments.... i think it is the first time the results are so awfully painfully ugly.... my best GD was the old couple building the Huff House in Surrey.... i cried seeing the BIG LOVE between the couple and their amazing furniture and painting collection.... i want to move with them!!!

I liked the bloke who built a log cottage in the woods out of wood from the woods that only he was ever allowed to live in .. totally built by him and volunteer helpers .. saw a revisit 4 years down the line and he's living there with a new partner and their new baby .. they bonded over sheep
