I wondered if oconner was fired because he tried to kill Dot, and that was the last straw, she best not be dead!! Also Robbie though, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel, I think there was mention of the fact that the actors in EE were hating the new bloke and refusing to work with him, maybe they had to literally rustle up any willing actors to fill the gaps? Last nights episode was just dyer (see what I did there ) with Carmel literally having to explain how they were shoehorning Robbie into the storyline. Are we expecting L to not show up to her own party? How far ahead is EE filmed, do we know? Just wondering when we can expect to see an improvement? Can't possibly get any worse surely?

I expect the changeover will be obvious as half the cast will be sent off and phil will return, the bin collection will be sorted, cliffhangers will return to being cliffhangers and robbie will go.

Then, when the contract runs out the new family will be sent off.

And paul will be resurrected from the dead to finish whatever storyline with his mum was actually planned before Oconner killed him off when he first started.

Think it is 6ish weeks ahead. Tbf june Brown is 90 I think giving her sit down having a fag scenes are best for her so a few weeks in hospital for Dot means June can still work.

Agree, Phil needs to come back. He's left a large potato shaped hole in the programme . It's just not believable that Sharon would leave him in Italy. She fusses over him too much.

I was catching up with Radiohead at Glastonbury yesterday - 2 hours of them doing their mostly gloomy hits was preferable to half an hour of them chewing the fat about going to the Vic ( where they go every single day almost) for a pint for Patrick's birthday , or Dyer running around for L's 40th ( so, she can leave Elaine now can she, after months of not being able to?) and getting all stressed out over nothing.
Even finding out Derek was once a criminal or the return of the Robster ( why?) didnt liven up anything. Its just white noise these days. Give me Thom yorke and the boys over this any day!
