I don't think Abi was genuinely trying to help her out. She wants Lauren out of the way so she can have creepy Steven without any competition from Lauren. I don't suppose Max is really looking out for Lauren's welfare at all. She is on her own unless she goes to her mums.

Good episode though and I'm glad too that the bullies have been exposed.

blukite · 14/07/2017 04:35

I too was glad the bullies were exposed but that doesn't last for long! I can't understand how they keep getting away with it

blukite · 14/07/2017 06:01

I find it hard to believe that Denny and will are 10, Denny looks at least 13. And he was bullying will a while back. Why are people still friends with bullies?! Don't get why nobody stands up for themselves

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2017 06:54

I felt sorry for Bex, when her hand nearly went in that cupboard i was wincing so much! They are so horrible to her.
Why was Lou grounded anyway? I cant believe that HOney would let her son hang out with Denny , he is bad news and used to bully him i think too? Michelle was doing her responsible bit by leaving them all alone - she might have guessed that louise wouldnt abide by the rules. I wouldnt have trusted any of them. Was she meant to be meeting nose bleed man? Louise did look lovely in that costume though! Abi and that phone - she really does have a devious brain. i missed the end of it last night though.

SoupDragon · 14/07/2017 07:11

The actor who plays Denny is 12, so just a year older than the character who turned 11 at the start of July.

I thought Steven was marvellously psycho last night, especially when he was alone at the Beale's at the end.

SoupDragon · 14/07/2017 07:17

The look on Alexandra's face when she realised the entire school hall had heard what she and Madison had been up to was perfect.

I don't know why Louise was grounded. Another question is why did Michelle leave a tiny pizza for 3 children to share??

Yes, nosebleed man turned up as Michelle left andmet her outside the Vic. Apparently he was late because "the tube was down"

MrsBotox · 14/07/2017 07:47

I should have thought the bullies attempting to cripple Bex's playing hand was a matter for the police. The head teacher shouting 'My office, now' was laughable.

SoupDragon · 14/07/2017 07:53

I don't think there was anything wrong with that - the first thing to do would be to remove the bully and confine them somewhere. Police would come later.

nancy75 · 14/07/2017 10:25

Louise Was grounded because she phoned Phil and told him about the bullies - Sharon didn't want her to tell him(bit weird he is her dad - also odd she hasn't told Ben)

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2017 10:51

What, so Louise took matters into her own hands about the bullying problems and she is the one thats grounded to look after devil child and William? Sharon hasn't done anything about the problem, apart from leaving her child with Chelle, who always swans off and leaves them home alone anyway ( done that in the past with a small pizza for them ) its beyond weird!
i hope that the police throw the book at those two, but they will probably just get a caution or something! i felt so sorry for Bex.
she was doing well and holding her own with those two as well. its not on!

SoupDragon · 14/07/2017 11:02

I'm wondering if I've missed an episode as I don't remember Louise phoning Phil. Perhaps I fell asleep...

Where is Sharon? Have I missed that too?

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2017 11:05

what did steven do at the end at the beales place then? i got as far as Bex and the bullies and steve being in the pub - then i had to turn off the i player and i cant be bothered now to watch again and i didnt tape it either. i missed mondays, i am not the fan i used to be!
I cant believe they need two pot men for that small pub - they were laying people off the other week, has the craft beers really increased profits that much?

SoupDragon · 14/07/2017 11:14

He was pacing about giving a monologue about how he's done X Y and Z for LOuie and Lauren and this is how she relays him blah blah blah. He squared up to Josh when he called round to ask why Lauren quit work and at that point Steven realised it was all going wrong.

He ended up repeatedly head butting the wall in the living room.

It's not going to end well I fear!

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2017 11:21

No, sounds like a man on the edge. thanks soup!!
I did laugh the other night when Abi said to Clarke kent ' most employers dont come round to check up on their sick employees!' - too right!
He spends more time hanging around the square after lauren than he does at work. its a wonder he hasnt been given a warning!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 11:28

Clark Kent could do with one of those Eye Spy tracker things for Lauren... Grin

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 14/07/2017 11:34

Where is Sharon? Have I missed that too?

I was wondering that too! I presume she's gone to see Phil? but there was no discussion - it all happened off screen! You'd think they'd chuck in a line of dialogue to make it at least make sense, continuity-wise.

The80sweregreat · 14/07/2017 11:39

I just hope Lauren goes to NZ and steven ends up going missing and do us all a favour. sick of the lot of them. Kent is getting on my nerves too.
( not having a good day!!) lol

buddhasbelly · 14/07/2017 12:10

professor i read that as "joe swash is on the crystal meth tonight" i thought things had escalated quite quickly there!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/07/2017 12:30

Oh dear it's all gone wrong for poor Joe. Grin

nancy75 · 14/07/2017 13:46

Sharon was shouting at Louise in the street about phoning Phil - it was when Chelle discovered the great bench robbery!

I do love mad Steven - he couldn't get more over the top if he tried - watch out Jane!

blukite · 14/07/2017 13:56

Louise phoned Phil about switching schools not about the bullies

SinisterBumFacedCat · 14/07/2017 15:34

Why are people still friends with bullies?! Don't get why nobody stands up for themselve

If this is an opion on RL it's pretty depressing. Why do people bully in the first place?

I hope they don't leave the storyline with "get to my office" and the bullies are shown to be properly punished.

youarenotkiddingme · 14/07/2017 16:59

The issue seems to be that bullies get away with things because a) they claim 'banter' when it's low level and b) they are clever enough to avoid witnesses at first.
It's only when they get cocky and escalate they get caught. By then the damage is done to the victim and schools have to start at the bottom of their bullying policy.

My poor ds has been victim as he's autistic and vulnerable. Many a time I've heard "he misunderstood what the bullies other children meant".

buddhasbelly · 14/07/2017 19:04

youare that is horrible, your poor ds.

NoisyBrain · 14/07/2017 20:20

Well done whoever predicted that Lauren would be heading off to New Zealand with just one bag.

"It's over" says Bex about the bullying. Thus guaranteeing that it is almost certainly not over. My money's now back on a prom drama.
