Starts at 8pm this evening.
Anyone else planning to watch?

The hologram thing was just a bit of artistic license, an easy way for the director to show us that they were tweeting rather than have the character vocalise 'and now I am going to post my mother's topless shot on Twitter'.

The80sweregreat · 08/06/2017 08:47

Ahh, I see.

CherieBabySpliffUp · 08/06/2017 08:51

I found it all so unbelievable, very disappointing.

MommaGee · 08/06/2017 09:13

Might just watch for PN. He's still lovely

MommaGee · 08/06/2017 09:13

I did wonder about the holograms because they also write the texts on the screen but its just pretentious crap imo

MitzyLeFrouf · 08/06/2017 09:18

Paul Nicholls still looks hot.

Did anyone watch that programme a few years ago about Northern nurses called No Angels? It starred both blonde headteacher woman and dinner lady/mum from last night.

lalalala578 · 08/06/2017 09:48

The accent from
The mum / dinnerlady was awful. Hate her usual accent too though.

The80sweregreat · 08/06/2017 10:35

The mum/ teacher who had her boobs all over twitter, what has she been in before? She looked so familiar.

MumBod · 08/06/2017 11:38

I loved No Angels. Great Northern Soul soundtrack.

MumBod · 08/06/2017 11:38

Boob teacher was the WPC in Life On Mars.

Ineedagoodusername · 08/06/2017 12:10

She was also in call the midwife

The80sweregreat · 08/06/2017 13:17

of course, she was liz and got off with the lovely John simm! how i miss that programme - phillip glenister is a crush of mine.
i hate when i see people and i dont know who they are or what they were in before. and cant be bothered to look it all up either!

Groovee · 08/06/2017 16:20

I quite like it. Lots of familiar faces in it. Star from Eastenders too and the woman who was in children's ward all those years ago!

squoosh · 08/06/2017 16:26

She was also in call the midwife

Ah yes! The thalidomide story line. That was so moving.

MissEliza · 08/06/2017 16:45

I really liked it, much more than Waterloo road. Some of the young actors were very good. Ds (14)! loved it too. I thought there were some good storylines such as the little clique of girls in hijabs looking down their nose at Missy and pressuring Nas to ignore her. Nas is really stuck in the middle. It can be really hard being a liberal Muslim kid when your friends are much more conservative.

Cocolepew · 08/06/2017 17:07

She was also in the My Zoo (?) programme with the lovely Lee Inglewood.
I liked it ok, I don't want believable I want entertaining DDs school is worse

JustDanceAddict · 08/06/2017 18:15

Never heard of 'reverting' - that is weird

NotJanine · 08/06/2017 18:20

I thought it was very like Waterloo Road. Load of nonsense but but will probably watch again.

I wasn't concentrating enough as I didn't understand what was going on with the lad who was causing trouble. Maybe it was because they'd edited the programme that it seemed disjointed.

BubbleBed · 08/06/2017 20:04

Watching on catch up. Meh.

bonfireheart · 11/06/2017 13:19

It's ok but nothing new. They've got a checklist of "issues" and they're just gonna work their way through them: religion, single parent families, drug taking an see them moving into forced marriage, FGM etc.

Fl0ellafunbags · 11/06/2017 16:01

Did anyone watch that programme a few years ago about Northern nurses called No Angels? It starred both blonde headteacher woman and dinner lady/mum from last night.

I watched it on the strength of that. I was disappointed on the whole.

bonfireheart · 12/06/2017 17:55

It's set in a multicultural secondary school in Halifax. As someone who worked as a teacher in a multicultural secondary school in Halifax the more I think about this programme, the more I hate it.

TheNaze73 · 12/06/2017 18:02

I'll give it another go this but, wasn't impressed

HalfShellHero · 16/06/2017 11:00

The muslim muns accent is awful i cringe when i hear it. And the baby storyline ...oh dear

PandoraMole · 16/06/2017 17:31

I thought this week's episode was better than last week's but it's crashingly unrealistic.

The gormless nosey Parker in the school office is particularly annoying - I work in a secondary school office and we're lucky if we get time to fart let alone waft about gawking and eavesdropping at other members of staff!
