Anyone going to be watching? I love the audition stage of the show Grin

To give the boy credit, he was very confident and delivered his jokes well.

However, they were inappropriate for an eight year old, and frankly, quite rude.

Sparklingbrook · 16/04/2017 18:23

I didn't see 'confident' just precocious TBH.

MitzyLeFrouf · 16/04/2017 18:29

I thought that gag joke was in pretty poor taste. And to feed it through an 8 year old did not make it any cuter or funnier. Apparently his father writes for that god awful Not Going Out sitcom which is a throwback to all those crappy 1980s sitcoms.

Sparklingbrook · 16/04/2017 18:30

Not Going Out is really funny. Perhaps the Dad should stick to that.

228agreenend · 16/04/2017 18:31

I quite like Not Going Out also.

Rachel0Greep · 16/04/2017 19:16

It wasn't the slightest bit funny, IMO, to hear an eight year old tell 'jokes' like that.

Willow2017 · 16/04/2017 19:18

His dad obviously hasn't moved on from the 80s. There wasn't one thing funny about that kids act. And his timing was crap. It was pretty stilted but he obviously had been told how 'great' he was enough times to believe it.

Riversleep · 16/04/2017 19:27

urgh he annoyed me. Id been watching Doctor Who, so rewinded to the beginning, then fast forwarded him from about 10 seconds into his act. I didnt even see the horrible joke, but that was really inappropriate. I have a 9 year old. He would never say that or even understand why that was meant to be 'funny'. Obviously the dad.

Ineedagoodusername · 16/04/2017 20:45

Oh that's awful!!!

MitzyLeFrouf · 16/04/2017 21:18

I just spotted this tweet from Jason Manford about one of last night's acts

Caught up with @BGT & was disappointed to see Adam Keeler totally lift an entire comedy routine from circuit favourites @raymondtimpkins

228agreenend · 16/04/2017 21:30

Off to google Raymond Timpkins...

MusicToMyEars800 · 16/04/2017 21:34

228 good idea, let us know who he Is and if the jokes are originally his?

David Walliams seems to have been alerted too. Last night's comedian will be disqualified I presume.

'If you saw @BGT last night & liked the musical comedy act with the sign reading 'ME' see @raymondtimpkins live who did it first & funnier.'

228agreenend · 16/04/2017 21:51

As Mitzy said, it was the man with the words.

MusicToMyEars800 · 16/04/2017 21:55

oh right, I feel like an idiot, I thought it was about the little boy comedian at the beginning of the show Blush. I didn't find the one with the words in the bag funny at all.
