If my DP kept butting in all the time I'd be so mad. She should be worrying about the fact she's had a baby with a feckless twunt.

They've obviously got a lovely relationship.

The underlying vibe I get from this guy is that the minute she goes against him - say, by saying "I want my mum for this, you can come by as soon as baby is out", she won't see him for dust.

I can't watch it, brings back too many memories plus my midwives were never as nice as the ones on there but then I suppose there weren't any cameras watching!

In fairness to the midwives they probably only show the chatting because the caring stuff is all the same and we've seen it a million times before.

Oh no I did feel really sorry for her when she said no about the c-section as she had to do nightfeeds and everything by herself. The reality is he won't be there all of the time especially when he's "too tired".

I am not interested in the midwife's personal life. Why do they do this?

He's really in love with the idea of himself as a dad. Let's see how long it lasts.

If the midwife isn't that bothered or interested about meeting someone, why the bloody hell has she gone on and on and on.......

That poor woman looks so mal nourished and vulnerable. I feel so sorry for her.

That's left me feeling a bit sad.

I think he talks the talk. He was very sweet comforting her after the birth. But I reckon he's all mouth no trousers. I can't see him being there at 3am with a colicy newborn

To be fair, at least he's gone into theatre with her. When I had my first at 18, I was completely on my own, rushed in for an emergency section. My partner at the time didn't like the thought of a having to wear scrubs 🤔.

Oh God he's one of them. 'She's not having a boyfriend until she's at least thirty!', but it's OK for him to casually impregnate his little sister's friend? God I'm glad it's over, two babies in one hour? Not really One Born Every Minute was it? Apologies for being a big misery!
