Does anyone else think that the midwives are shocking? So much chatting and ignoring the women in labour?

That FWB situation is bullshit, certainly wouldn't want to be on either end of that mess

ihate yes I agree, my midwife didn't speak half as much as that although I was doing hypnobirthing so the room was pretty silent and I just sat with earphones in but I'd be really annoyed if the midwife and OH just sat chatting whilst I struggled.

I agree. All that loud chatter over the top of my head would have sent me into a rage. The midwife should be more considerate.

I knew he'd be on the phone to his girlfriend. I know these two said they don't want to be together, but I find this whole thing so frustrating!

I feel really sorry for her if he is her only support. Surely he must realise how insensitive it is to phone his girlfriend in the middle of labour!

Must admit when he went out and got tearful on the phone and he acknowledged what she was going through I started to soften slightly to him.... until I realised he was in the phone to "Chelsea" the girlfriend

And it sounded like the girlfriend was asking him not to hang up when he was saying "no I know but I really need to Be in there I'm sorry."

Then he's huffing when he thinks it's taking too long. Welcome to parenthood!

I watched this through both of my pregnancies and it makes me soo broody ( I do not want anymore ) the young lad who was just crying on the phone fgs sort it out!

He's a prat. We'll see how lovely he is when real life with a baby sets in and Chelsea is pulling him in the other direction and Jodie retaliates by protecting her child from a disappointing Disney dad... I definitely spend too much time perusing the Relationship boards!
