The one that's annoying me at the moment is the McDonalds one where the Mum and Dad and little girl are in Maccy D's, and the Mum lobs little girls's toy rabbit on the floor so that Dad bends down to retrieve it (Mum then nicks his chicken whatever it is.)

I really hate it when she says "help me out here Rob, just trying to be a parent."

It makes me want to slap her in the face with her Big Mac.

My long standing advert that I hate is still being screened, quite an old one, where the little boy is on the toilet, and the touch 'n' fresh has run out and he yells for his Mum. Why the advertisers feel that we need to see this kid sitting on the carsey, I don't know.

I hate those Worthers Originals ads - particularly the old one where the grandad and the little boy have a truly sickening interaction. Its only a boiled sweet!

I actually like the M and S gastro porn ads mentioned below!

RoxyNotFoxy · 07/03/2007 18:46

A couple of these are a bit old now. But they can still annoy you years later.

You can't get better than a Qwik-fit fitter.

Anything with Mr Motivator in it

Spidermama · 07/03/2007 18:52

I hate 'Mmm Danone' so much that I have to rush to turn it down.

Spidermama · 07/03/2007 18:53

There was also WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! Bodyform. Bodyform for yoooooooooo.

LulaMae · 07/03/2007 18:58

Has to be the Cillit Bang ones, not only are they cheap and nasty, like the product, goodness knows how many noxious chemicals it contains, the guy shouts like he's got a cognitive disorder, and it reminds me of 'clitty band' to boot!

LulaMae · 07/03/2007 18:59

'clitty bang' not 'band', that would be some 90s punk girrrrlll group like 'hole' or 'the slits'

becklespeckle · 08/03/2007 11:13

the adverts for it are crap but cillit bang itself is fab - probably is full of gross chemicals but it cleans my sink with minimal effort from me!!!

happystory · 08/03/2007 11:17

Any of the M&S ads with Derva bloody Kirwan doing the voiceover.
And the loo roll ones with the toddler dressed as a business man.....

becklespeckle · 08/03/2007 11:18

oooh the loo roll ones, forgot them - v v v annoying

Songbird · 08/03/2007 11:21

Haven't read the whole thread so I may be repeating here, but...... Picture the Fecking Loan!!! The original one with the far-too-chipper-to-be-getting-into-£25,000-of-debt bloke talking about the football!! Aaahhhhh!!! It gets me every time, dh finds it hilarious (me screaming, not the ad!)

nearlythere · 08/03/2007 11:23

Halifax!!
On principle would never open an account with them!

WeaselMum · 08/03/2007 11:36

i'm also in the Picture Loan or whatever they're called hate club

also confused.com - same script every time, but a different actor - just to make sure it appeals to a different demographic probably - patronising and annoying

slug · 08/03/2007 12:23

Nadinebloodybagshot and her 'discovery'. I can only hope she invested her earnings from that ad on plastic surgery to gain an upper lip.

The pseudo science ones always get the slug household shouting at the screen. Dh (a virologist)is particularly annoyed at the ones which claim to kiil germs including the flu virus. According to him a wipe with water would do the same and the flu virus is notoriously difficult to keep alive outside a host anyway.

The one that really annoys me a the moment is JaneFonda and her Katherine Hepburnesque quivering voice "Pretty good for 68 huh?"

No darling, my MIL is 70 and looks a damn sight better than you for her age and she isn't covered in slap and filmed in soft focus either.

MummyPenguin · 08/03/2007 13:29

The double glazing one with the bloke dressed as a pirate and the stuffed parrott. "You buy one and you get one free, I say you buy one and you get one free."

OP posts:
becklespeckle · 08/03/2007 13:29

Oh, and Barbie and her pooing dog - who's idea was that for a toy?

SecondhandRose · 08/03/2007 16:17

I agree Slug, she doesn't look very good for 68, my Mum is 75 and they look about the same.

becklespeckle · 08/03/2007 17:26

admiral insurance ads with the big bald bloke sobbing cos he can't get cheap insurance...

MrsFish · 08/03/2007 19:49

lol at this topic, but it is so true, agree with most of the popular 'hate' ones. Reading through, the picture loans ads seem to crop up the most, along with the lad on the toilet running out of air freshner.

I must be chilling out in my old age though, as none of them really boil my pi$$ nowadays

chirpygirl · 08/03/2007 20:07

Sorry guys but you've all missed what annoys me most about the picture loans bint. It's the fact she will scream at her kids while on the pohone but the second her husband says anything he gets hissed at 'I'm on the phone....' like she can't possibly be interupted...

and then she screams at the kids again!!!!!

DontlookatmeImshy · 08/03/2007 20:12

Oh yes chirpy girl, that advert annoys me for the same reason.

chirpygirl · 08/03/2007 20:19

(pohone? that's how angry I am with this advert!)

DH has reminded me to add in AND any advert that says

'nothing is more effective than'

well, use nothing then for feck's sake!!

SecondhandRose · 09/03/2007 06:58

Could we give Picture Loans a Mumsnet award?

Daisypops · 09/03/2007 21:57

I'm another one for Picture Loans and the air freshner one where the little boy says 'its all gone' and mum says 'whats all gone....' ARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH
