I dunno, I think she has the classic ventriloquist's-dummy look.
She does a bit, around the mouth, but her hair is a revelation (and they showed lots of shots of her brushing and styling it, so I don't doubt it's real) and goes a long way to making her look more youthful.
Also her style of dress, the floaty, cheese cloth type tops and so on (Amanda and Sheila wear the same) it's just so far away from someone I know in my own life who is 81.
All in all, I think they are a likeable bunch. Very different, obviously not all perfect, but I think they have cast this a lot better than the first series - there is no real dominant or difficult personality and the spectrum of personality types is much broader.
Some of them have their problems obviously and behavioural aspects that maybe not everyone would like - Bill and Lionel spring to mind, and also Sheila.
But there's no-one on this series who I dislike. I admire them all for being as old as they are, for their fortitude and positivity, and just because it's great to see people in their 7th, 8th and 9th decades of life ... still open to new experiences and still ... well, living!
