Oh it WAS Masood, good call 80s Who was it with the scratch cards? Was that Mas, I seemed to remember it being Alfie but I'm not great at remembering storylines. Or has the gambling when you're skint been rehashed a few times?

MrsJayy · 07/03/2017 14:07

Just catching up that is quite the jacket Vincent Grin

MrsJayy · 07/03/2017 14:08

Why hasnt the vic got insurance ?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 14:42

Aha ha the jacket. That is the red Britney Spears catsuit from the Kevin Bacon ad. I half expected him to stand up and reveal an all in one red leather ensemble, complete with the famous Vincent bulge. Shock

Oreocrumbs · 07/03/2017 14:55

Do we know that the vic doesn't have insurance?

I had presumed that they would have (well you can't run a public building without various types of insurance so they must have) but I presume they can't claim because it's wear and tear.

They could probably claim for damage caused by the leak, e.g a new carpet that is water damaged, but not for the repairs themselves. But who knows!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 14:59

We tried to claim for roof repairs and a water damaged table a few years ago on the house insurance and they wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! They said we hadn't maintained the roof adequately so it was all our own fault. Confused

The80sweregreat · 07/03/2017 15:02

Mick rung up the insurance and was told he couldnt claim - wear and tear isnt covered. I remember him saying 'your 'aving a larf' or something on the mobile. Not sure about other insurances - must have liability one i suppose.
this red jacket sounds impressive, dh took EE off series link for taping so have to go onto i player! first world probs and all that.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 15:05

I think my husband said something similar when he rang our insurers 80's Grin Although thinking about it, they did come out and look at it first.

MrsJayy · 07/03/2017 15:06

Jeez Ilost

The80sweregreat · 07/03/2017 15:11

I would have thought you could get special insurances for such big buildings (and the vic is old too) but i have no real idea at all. i know its a pain getting it for our house and that is small enough and not used for business purposes or anything. The land and the building must be worth a small fortune, also that part of london isnt cheap. Considering Mock managed to get the bank to come and see him, you would think he could have persuaded the insurance to have a 'butchers hook' at it first maybe? who knows.

The80sweregreat · 07/03/2017 15:15

i lost, just read your post about the roof. we have a small flat roof bit at the front of our house and that had a leak - same thing with that ' oh, you cant claim' insurers hate flat roofs too, would have been good to know this before we bought the place! They always ask ' what percentage of it is flat?' i dont know - but they wont come out so 5 percent is a real guess! insurance used to come out for lots of things that they now don't - or just want photos which they then reject too it seems. Win win for them all!!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 15:17

I thought it was harsh that Jack took all the poker money as winnings. Mick's been practically begging him for a loan. Would you really do that to a friend who is struggling for money?
Jack the twat strikes again.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 15:20

Ooh I know 80's insurance companies are robbers! It's so rare that they pay out for anything.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2017 15:22

Bad dh for taking off planner !!!

Not sure where mick got the money for poker and obv he isn't going to win hundreds

Why doesn't BEX say anything to LOUISE ? Or just ignore her as she is a coward and bully
Assume prestons mum rang tim who gave her home number of Martin as sibling tho Obv they had moved ....... so wouldn't have had it anyway

Or maybe michelle told tim she was at Sharon's and then as she is apparently her bf Tim gave Sharon's no to mum

I lost, i know mate - they are robbers , keen to take the money and give you the spiel, but when its a problem its all ' oh dear, cant do this and that , sorry ( go away) yet you have to have it for homes if you have a mortgage ( i have always believed this to be true so we always have it for buildings)
contents is another one that seems a bit dodgy - cant trust any of them.

The80sweregreat · 07/03/2017 16:41

caught up , yes, the jacket was borrowed from Kevin bacon!! really bright, but it does suit him.
so obvious about Mick losing the money - such a silly idea as sausage pointed out. who had Jack's kids whilst he was out?
Preschelle - give me strength - i hope Denny spills the beans about them two. just yuk.
The whole Bex thing is beyond boring now - the girls are so nasty even i want to have a go at them. lol.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 16:49

Poor Denny will be scarred for life Shock No doubt Louise will upload it to social media and Preschelle rolling about on the sofa will go viral...
It will take the heat off Bex I suppose.

To be fair, 80's Vincent would probably look good in a binliner Grin

The80sweregreat · 07/03/2017 17:12

hmm, yes he does have a nice body. i couldnt see my own dh in such a jacket ( or ian beale)

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/03/2017 17:25

Gawd, Ian in red leather Grin I wish he'd won the jacket during the poker game, that would have been hilarious.

nancy75 · 07/03/2017 19:32

So Denny is still a monster, have Phil & Sharon left Chelle to feed their kids without leaving any money?

nancy75 · 07/03/2017 19:39

Bex really needs to tell them what happened,Lou is the worst friend ever, she shouldn't stick up for her

nancy75 · 07/03/2017 19:53

Please don't kiss, please don't kiss

DearMrDilkington · 07/03/2017 19:58

So impressed with how Carmel handled shaki, I'm so pleased she stopped playing the victim card with him like usual. The Willy speech was wonderful, bravo Carmel!Grin

squirrelonapetridish · 07/03/2017 20:05

This Bex storyline is going to drag on isn't it, just tell the truth! If she tells the police then what could those girls possibly do to her? Also just want Mick to tell Linda everything now, surely that's what she would want and she needs to come back and help him...These storylines need to be resolved it's getting boring.

Akire · 07/03/2017 20:48

I also loved willie talk! Suprised if police prosecute given they mus be at least one case a week at one school alone. They must never be out of the place and even if just one child at school been proscated it would have put people off. Not that it was Becks fault this time. Can police charge shakil with distributing indecent mages of a child even they are of Himself?
