They've totally missed the mark with Preston. They thought he was going to be some guy everyone swoons over. But it doesn't work - he's just horribly creepy. It reminds me of someone I went on a date with who I had thought was attractive until he looked at me and did this really creepy smile. Turned me right off!

I noticed the Argee Bhajee restaurant tonight, I assumed it had been turned into something else but it's still there albeit it 'to let'

Does anyone else radically alter their opinion of characters? Couldn't stand Vincent but I like his character now. I used to like Abi but she's been awful for years now - since she got with Ben.

Lottie yes I expect they thought he'd be a hot young American who everyone would swoon over. They couldn't have got it more wrong. He's vile, nasty, creepy and doesn't do anything for me looks wise. Not that I look at him in that way as my name's not Nuchelle.

All the American characters they've had have been ultra annoying. Remember Vicky?

Oh the Argee Bhaji I miss the simple days of Masood and Zainab's dramas.

They definitely change characters sometimes as a way of keeping them in, otherwise their storylines run out.

Well Vicky had a terrible American accent for about 4 months and then suddenly had a uk accent. The guy who plays Preston is not American. He's probably so busy trying to keep the accent that his acting is suffering as a result. Why on earth don't they get someone who actually is American?

I'm not keen on the Grange Hill gang. Some of the acting is a bit ropey as well.

Denise didn't do herself any favours there losing her temper!

Sick of the kids, just don't care. Hating the obvious route the Mick Twitney storyline is taking. On a positive note I really really love Kim!

I want a Kim, Denise, Kush and Giant Baby Pearl spin off. They can bring the adorable Richard and Lily along. Vincent is a good character now so him too. Maybe Dot.

I think new producer likes his ishoos. He got a lot of praise for the domestic abuse storyline on the Archers and it's gone to his head imo.

Kim is back to her silly self prefer that Kim GBP is the cutest toddler she seems realy comfy with the actors

The teen school angst is not for me I went through that in RL. Yea take Dot to the spin off she deserves a break. I can't believe shurl would do that to tina I know sylvie is hard work but to let tina be up all night is unfair.

Shirl has always been upfront that she doesn't want to look after Sylvie, Tina means well but Sylvie would probably be better cared for in a care home, looking after Simone with Alzheimer's is too much for them

I get that we're meant to see the games he plays (working at the stall and thus "working" Bex, 'Chelle and Martin) but he lacks the necessary persuasive charm to make this work as a character. Without that, he's just an annoying little shit!

Also, he's supposedly from Florida. Hasn't complained about the weather once! Wears a flimsy jacket! Open! No scarf! At the market stall!

Yes MrsJ Who wants to be reminded of all that horrible teen drama. It was bad enough in rl. I suppose there might be teens learning from it maybe? But as an adult it's a bit 😩😩.

It was bad enough at school in the 1970s, must be much worse today with social media too.

I don't have a problem with the teen storylines. When it first started Vicky, Sharon and Ian etc all had storylines.

I think Preston is meant to be creepy. They set the story up with NUchelle as the baddy (and she still is really as she was the adult and teacher in the situation) but he is clearly a predator and manipulates her. He is the one who pursued this relationship I think. She has tried numerous times to get him out and finish it all but he has continuted to reel her back in.

I still can't believe that a photoshoped picture of bex would more embarrassing than her sing videos. Surely she just needs to laugh it off saying it's clearly not her.

About nu chelle, is nobody in touch with mark jr to mention that his "mate" is over at his mum's?

Or to Sharon and Phil to mention that he's moved in?

I did think it would be a lot worse than just a photo shopped picture to be honest, but at that age anyone laughing at you would be mortifying i suppose and Bex is already feeling threatened from those other girls too.
They all clearly hate her - she didnt betray Louise by telling Shaki it was her that send the pictures of his 'bits' either, so he has her down as the baddie.
I am shocked that Denny hasnt texted his mum, or skyped her, to tell her that someone is around that they dont know. i suppose Sharon is too busy going to the AA meetings with Phil to be bothered anyway!
